The new Super League is going down the tubes.

The only reason the NCHC exists today is because Minnesota and Wisconsin left the WCHA.

You don't find it just a little coincidental that within 24 hours of the SCSU's president admiting that the fans have a right to be upset about the conference decision, the head hockey coach's name is linked to a coaching vacancy?

"Linked" by an extremely vague reporting quote "Rumored to be in the mix."
Yeah that's a quote that should have us worried.

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

You love that word ignorant, don't you? The first time you used it was correct. I was unaware of how the subsidies for AK trips worked, got the info, and thanked the posters who gave the information out. Then you came along and decided to be a ******. Now you use the term again after I reminded you of your "great hockey mind" about UAA's prospects last season (which you failed to talk about) then berate the NCHC because your infinite wisdom tells you its a bad move. Let's break down your latest gem, shall we?

It is aspirational, but in a good way. The 6 teams in the NCHC want to create higher competition for their schools and leave conferences that are now ruled by smaller schools with low athletic budgets. When the Big 10 teams left, it created a majority power imbalance and the NCHC teams didn't like what they saw. So yes, the move is aspirational, but in an ambitious and proactive way to ensure that their teams can compete at a high level for years to come.

Here is where you lose most of the people with half a hockey mind: You claim the Big 10 is a recruiting machine that steals all the elite recruits and the new NCHC won't be able to compete with this. You're telling me that Denver, North Dakota, UMD, CC, Miami, and UNO were having a hard time recruiting blue chip prospects against the Big 10 before the NCHC. That's why all six made the NCAA tournament last year, right? That's why four of them moved on to the second round, and two of them went on to the Frozen Four, with a certain team winning it all. All this without the "lion's share" of elite recruits! Must have been puck luck I guess.

You go on to claim that by creating the NCHC these teams will continue to lose out to the recruiting machine of the Big 10 and won't be able to compete. As opposed to what? Staying in their respective old conferences to beat up on smaller schools like UAA? How is that more likely to bring in recruits than a new conference full of powerhouses willing to put their necks on the line to create a competitive conference with lots of hockey tradition and a devotion to compete at a high level? How does creating a conference with a high strength of schedule yet small enough to incorporate a good number of non-conference games to create higher winning percentages a bad idea? Your logic is absolutely flawed. But please, respond with more arrogance and whine about how these schools are so wrong to leave and create balance in the college hockey landscape all the while creating room for smaller schools to win autobids and maybe even add new teams. Tell me how this is a bad idea for hockey in general. You're a tool.

Couple of points in response: He didn't "choose" to be an a*shole. And it will be such a relief to be rid of him and the rest of those UAA priks.

They're being led by a group of elitist academic schools?
Yeah, Michigan Tech and .... UAA?

Never argue with a lawyer :D
You're always there when I need correcting, bless your heart.
I am aim to please.
Can't use that name, a D3 league has already claimed it.

There is a joke somewhere here but I cannot think of it...

What's stopping you from ridding yourself of me now? You could rid yourself of my at any time by choosing not to show up all over the board just troll me. Put away that open bottle of Drambuie and go to bed Old dude.

Bye, bye. Take your conspiracy theories and rules interpretations and fly away Alaska boy. Of your many idiotic conspiracy theories, the one where I'm "stalking" you is easily the dumbest and most pathetic. Bye, bye. And take the team doctor with you.

Strawman. I did not say that.

Strawman. Reading is FUNdamental. In effect ... I said that the recruiting paradigm between the B1G and BHHC is no different that it was before. The B1G was and is going to get the recruits they were and are going to get whether or not UND and DU and CC and blah blah blah were in their own Butt Hurt league or in the WCHA or CCHA or whatever.

You go on to claim that by creating the NCHC these teams will continue to lose out to the recruiting machine of the Big 10 and won't be able to compete.
Redundant much?

What part of delighted about the situation didn't you read? What you don't understand is the difference between me putting a thrashing on propagandists fumbling for logical rationale and the happiness I feel that I'll never have to see Wisconsin, Minnesota, UND, and DU in my rink again. The first three because of the way their programs are run. And the last one because of their online fanbase and Gwoz's idiotic clothing. As for CC and UMD ... I can adjudicate them as stupid for their choice then point and laugh. Which is what I'm doing.

So ... now you see how ignorant you are?

And not wanting to see those elite programs in that toilet you play in has nothing to do with the fact that they regularly beat you like a rented mule. It's me (and other DU fans) and Gwozdecky's wardrobe in the case of DU and "how the programs are run" in the case of the others. Is "how the programs are run" synonymous with "successfully." "Tool" is actually a step up.

Bye, bye. Take your conspiracy theories

Yeah .. I thought I noticed how my sarcastic send-up of DG was taken seriously by you. LOL. Put the scotch away.

Of your many idiotic conspiracy theories

Hilarious ... did DG teach you how to attempt to marginalize someone who owns you every time you turn around? Labeling them as a fringe lunatic can be effective. Especially in a forum like this where there are truly an amazingly low average number of active brain cells per participant.

the one where I'm "stalking" you is easily the dumbest and most pathetic.

Yeah .. well your record of showing up in threads and having your only posts in it be directed at me tells a different story.

Bye, bye.

Hopefully you mean it.

Well .. that "bye bye" lasted a whole 13.5 minutes.

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

Unfortunately, the Gophers can't beat anyone like a rented mule anymore.

Maybe Tech.

I was speaking historically. Not wanting to throw the monkey a banana.
;)

Everyone please note, UAA fanboy thinks people who post here (particularly the ones who disagree with his delusions, one assumes) are stupid, except for him of course. Nice. I think it was Professor B. Bunny who said: "What a maroon." And he keeps track of my "record," too. Only slightly obsessive.

What's up with DU changing their name to the Metropolitan State College of Denver? So DU is giving up Boone and going with the Roadrunners? Do we call you Met State for short? Or Denver State? Or State Denver?

Meet the Mets!
Greet the Mets!
Step right up and beat the Mets!

Who cares? He has his own blog and takes this forum seriously, just having a blog about a team that lives in front of their own net and hasn't put together two seasons since the 90's qualifies him for his job shampooing crotches.
