Re: "The Lake Show" - LSSU Laker Hockey

Hey Neil Diamond, how come your not praising your hero, friend, mentor Jim Roque?

Didn't get a chance to listen to the game, so I can't say much (a lesson for you in there, BJ).

The Lakers have beat ranked teams this year. They have also lost some questionable games. So basically the jury is still out on this team.

Re: "The Lake Show" - LSSU Laker Hockey

Boot_Jim_Roque: It seems you and I are the only ones on here after another tough weekend for this administration and the Lakers. I guess we will be talking to each other a lot over the weeks and months to follow.

It is nice to see someone that isn't afraid to tell it like it is and be critical of where this team has headed since they disgraced a legend in the way they treated him years ago, when Frank Anzalone was ambushed.

The banners that you people see every game, the few that still choose to go, are testament for a man that meant so much to your school and little town and built the program into a once powerhouse.

Schofield,Cassinani, and Barczuk need to start scoring more often. Campbell was the incoming guy that everyone was excited about and he needs to start showing why they wanted him so bad. Campbell also needs to start making a statement by putting some shots into the net. Schofield is suppose to be the go to guy this year, the guy who will be the clutch playmaker and the guy who keeps the team in games . Lakers need the juniors and seniors to step up a notch now and keep this team moving forward .

Barczuk seems to be in the doghouse. He's only played in 8 of the 14 games. I suppose he could be hurt although I don't remember hearing about it; does anyone else?

Truth, for a man/woman who really loves the Anzalone family, you seem rather shy about telling us why you have that love connection. Are you embarrassed to give us the reason why you have that connection or are you family and it is a bit embarrassing to admit to that ? Truth,Fricker writes on here and he had a son who played for Lake State at a time when most of us felt Borek was driving the team into the toilet and Fricker never shyed away from the fact that we knew he thought highly of Borek. I didn't agree with Fricker but I admired him for standing his ground and openly defending the man and not hiding the fact his son played for him.

Truth, the question now is,why can't you stand tall like Fricker and give us that connection you have to the Anzalone family and if possible, what are you getting them for Christmas this year.

The Lakers must take 3 out of 4 for the upcoming CCHA series in December against Bowling Green and Western Michigan. Really the Lakers have to really good in December and January since they have a very tough February schedule again.

Think what you people will but the 4th place Quad City Mallards are doing just fine under the direction of legendary coach Frank Anzalone. Here he is doing what he does best, teaching!

Good luck the rest of the season up there you will need it and it is a shame how you people treat this man and the lack of respect you people have for a man who brought you and your school so much.

A shame!

Denver has solid goaltending, solid defense, and guys who can score and put those three together and Lake State has big problems. Going to be a tough nut to crack tonight .

The majority of the people on this forum do not know what a good coach is. They worship Roque back and forth with each other. Pitiful. Maybe they like bad hockey, an empty arena, bottom of the CCHA standings and first round playoff exits. All these are cheerfully brought to you by Jimbo Roque and his ever present Gong Show. Me, I'll take Anzalone back any day!

The problem with Anzalone wasn't his coaching,it was him. if Anzalone had come back in 1990 when Jackson took over, half the team was going to quit and I have that from an excellent source who told me that in 1990 and the person had nothing to do with the university or the coaches but had it from the players .There is a reason why Anzalone has moved so much and it is not because he is a great coach and everyone wants a piece of him.
