Probably more of a hygiene thing back when people took, like, one bath per month, but yes, in the era of daily bathing, it takes like 5 seconds to properly clean and should not be an issue to any halfway competent adult.

It's not the adults they're worried about.

Tuberville says the more the dems complain, the more he digs in.

sec of navy is a dem? Ok.

he also said wokeness has to be fought as people are writing poetry on submarines

Gym Jordan got slapped so hard, every MAGAt felt it.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis Thursday blasted a congressman who has pledged to investigate her handling of an indictment of former President Donald Trump and others. ... Willis fired back, saying Jordan’s Aug. 24 letter included “inaccurate information and misleading statements.” She accused Jordan of improperly interfering with a state criminal case and attempting to punish her for personal political gain.

“Its obvious purpose is to obstruct a Georgia criminal proceeding and to advance outrageous misrepresentations,” Willis wrote, referring to Jordan’s letter from two weeks ago. “As I make clear below, there is no justification in the Constitution for Congress to interfere with a state criminal matter, as you attempt to do.”

The Fulton County prosecutor went on to tell the Judiciary Committee chairman, “Your letter makes clear that you lack a basic understanding of the law, its practice and the ethical obligations of attorneys generally and prosecutors specifically.”

Y'all know the real reason why he's doing this right? Coups don't succeed if you don't have the support of the military officers. He's not doing this because of "wokeness", he's doing this to prevent officers who won't blindly do what they're told getting into positions of higher rank.

Meadows' attempt to moving his case to federal court rejected. Next up, probably begging the 11th circuit and/or Supreme Court to save him.

I thought I had read somewhere that the removal decision was not appealable? I could be getting it mixed up, though.

Nope, apparently appealable.

Next question: A judge has now ruled that the President’s COS was performing political acts while in the White House, and quite plainly while “on the clock” for his day job, since he continues to claim that he believes (errroneously) that those acts were part of said day job.

I feel like the dumber of my two dogs could get a Hatch Act conviction at this point. Will those charges be tacked on?

Probably.

But maybe work it as another case? Give yourself two shots at juries.

Color me surprised by this. The legal dorks I follow on the matter thought that he had the best claim of any of the defendants to his his case removed, and that the bar was fairly low. Yet here we are, and by all accounts the DC judge effectively wrote to the 11th circuit, expecting an appeal. So while this isn't over, it's a big early victory for justice.

Apparently this week is Constitution week.

there is a house near me who always has R signs in yard during election season. Now they have a daughters of the revolution constitution yard sign up

It is one of the most interesting aspects of the rightwing bubble that they think the rest of the country is looking at them as a model.

The rest of the country looks at the red states as a freak show. Those rural inbred populations in NY and CA who are jonesing to move to MS and KS? By all means, please move to them. Let's gather all the rubes under one leaky, freedummy roof. It will make the inevitable and long overdue mitosis that much easier.

Above: give the purples to red and the stripes to blue. All problems solved. NC and WI might want to think about turning blue but if not, then not.
