I do think it matters on where you are. But I don’t know anyone personally who is doing it anymore, although I’m sure some are. Not really getting why it’s recommended still though, shrug.

Probably more of a hygiene thing back when people took, like, one bath per month, but yes, in the era of daily bathing, it takes like 5 seconds to properly clean and should not be an issue to any halfway competent adult.
