Did not realize that The Big Lebowski and Mayor Johnson were the same guy. Mostly because he looked way older than mid-40s in Blazing Saddles.

I have always misremembered the Mayor as Jonathon Winters.

I'm stunned and saddened by John's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing him when he worked at CITY-TV in Toronto. The sports world has lost a good man.

He's part of our community....

Western said it was just one game, but he was there for two seasons. His brother Bernie also played at WMU.
