What is wrong with people?

Blues legend B.B. King's daughter believes he is being abused ... and called police Thursday to settle a dispute over whether he needed to be hospitalized.

TMZ has learned there's a huge battle over B.B.'s care -- between his daughter Patty King and his longtime manager Laverne Toney. Patty, who lives with her father in Las Vegas tells us she wanted to take him to the hospital because his urine was orange and he wasn't eating. She claims Toney -- who has power of attorney over B.B. -- refused, so Patty called police. Responding officers called in paramedics, who agreed B.B. needed to be checked out by doctors.

Long-time Penn State football play-by-play announcer Fran Fisher, age 91. Fran was a colleague and a friend and he will be missed.

Fisher joined the Penn State Football Radio Network as an analyst in 1966 — Joe Paterno's first year as head coach. He went on to call some of the Nittany Lions' most memorable victories, including the 1983 Sugar Bowl. He served as the Lions' play-by-play voice from 1970-82 and returned to the booth from 1994-99, working alongside analyst, sidekick and good friend George Paterno.

Mrs. P & I were lucky enough to see him under the stars at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Festival in 1995 and a couple of years ago I worked his concert at the Bryce Jordan Center.

He was the King, may he rest in peace

Bless you, BB. Hearing "Three O'Clock Blues" for the first time when I was 14 is my personal version of "her life was saved by rock and roll."

The same way my girlfriends late best friend can read the facebook messages people post on her wall...or my cousin can read the stuff people write to him after he died?
