Re: The "Complain About Fox Sports 1" Thread

I suppose we could also start a "Complain about NBCSN" thread.

But they show hockey so they get a bit of a pass.

I'm still trying to find this channel. Got an email from Comcast saying it replaces SpeedTV, but I never watched that so I have no idea what channel it is. Maybe today I will scroll though it.

Re: The "Complain About Fox Sports 1" Thread

On DirecTV the channels are 219 for FS1 and 618 for FS2. FS1 is on the Choice line-up and FS2 is on Xtra.

For those who don't know Onrait and O'Toole. Here's best of from TSN.

Watching Fox Sports Live for the first time. This isn't too bad.

Re: The "Complain About Fox Sports 1" Thread

This sucks. It's much better than SportsCenter. Wait. does that still qualify as a complaint?

Re: The "Complain About Fox Sports 1" Thread

I'm basing it relative to SC. So far, it's an upgrade. *shrug*

Just nit-picking here, but I'm not sure I like the layout of their ticker. I am glad they run it through commercials (don't recall if ESPN does that; I believe EPSNews does).

I also am wishing they had the "upcoming" topics on the side, like ESPN has. THAT is a very useful thing for me.

Re: The "Complain About Fox Sports 1" Thread

I read an SB nation blog and I agree with the idea of splitting the panel show and the highlight show. I think it would work a lot better that way.

Funny thing about that is Fox was the first one to use that sidebar graphic. Back on that Fox Sports Nightly or whatever it was called that used to be on FSN.

I'm not sure why ESPN uses it at all. It's like advertising "turn the channel for 15 minutes until what you want to see comes on."

I get the ad thing, keeping viewers, but I love it b/c of that fact. I can switch and then switch back. Makes me more loyal in the short-term viewing. If I don't know, I'll just search elsewhere for what I want in the first place.

Re: The "Complain About Fox Sports 1" Thread

This morning is my first chance to watch the studio show and it's more entertaining than I was expecting. I saw the "top moments" from their first show on Saturday and I wasn't impressed. I thought Onrait and O'Toole were over the top but now that I'm able to watch a full show, it's the perfect level of seriousness mixed in with their unique personalities. I'll continue to turn this channel on in the mornings instead of ESPN.

Re: The "Complain About Fox Sports 1" Thread

I'll have to wait till I am at home to watch FS1 and find things to complain about. My gf gets about 4 channels at her place. :(

But in general, more sports channel options is a good thing.
