There's usually about a 90% chance of that happening, so I think your hopes will be realized.

Only 90%?

If the rebels win will Fishy try and spin into an Assad victory? ;)

Well done, sir! :D

Opie, anybody who remembers who the Weathermen were is now 70 years old. Could you please go back to living in the 80's so at least us middle aged people have some frame of reference?

50's. I'm 57 and remember them quite well. The 60's radicals are not remembered fondly. In a different time and place they would have been deported to Australia or somewhere further like the Moon.

See also: Australia.

That was my inspiration. The trick is, with air capabilities, it's tough to keep this enforced without it lifting them out, especially in the case of political prisoners. Who knows, maybe we'll be packing space shuttles with prisoners and putting them into a ship in outer space.

Lets average it out to 60 and call it a day. Perhaps you have a good memory in your older age. The larger point being its absurd to try to stick 60's radicalism on a guy who was born in the 60's. As I told Opie back during the 08 election, what was Obama doing - fronting The Weathermen from his crib?

Billy and Bernadine helped the "community organizer" kick start his career by hosting an Obama campaign event in their home. And Billy and the future Sun King crossed paths on public boards, etc. You're gonna need a bigger air brush.

Well the Egyptian Army's deadline to President Morsi has passed. The Parent Principle says you never make a threat, only promises.

So, does the Army back down, or do we have a new Junta in Egypt? If they back down, I'd make sure the Colonel's retirement plan is activated.

They didnt back down. Morsi is under siege and it sounds like the Military is about to unveil their roadmap later this evening.

The more important question is how can you blame this all on Obama.

Well let's see ...
POTUS was in Africa
FLOTUS compared the White House to a nice prison.
Morsi is under house arrest in Egypt.
Egypt is in Africa.

See? Because Gov. and Mrs. Bush were in Africa it's all Bush's fault!!!!

On this great day it is important to remember a key victory in the War on Terror. On this day in 1863 the United States took back the city of Vicksburg after it had been seized by terrorists two years before.

No way man...the North were just a bunch of Socialist Commie dictators trying to restrict the Southern States Rights!!

THE SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN!!!

Setting aside for the moment your customary snotty trollery and inaccuracies (Vicksburg, MS was "seized" by terrorists? From whom?), you've got a point. On July 3rd Lee retreated from Gettysburg followed by the fall of Vicksburg the next day. Game over. Similar to the battle of Midway. Japan had lost the war in the Pacific. All that remained were the little details, like Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Not to quibble, because the fall of Vicksburg was a spike in the heart of the Confederacy, but I think nothing in the South was "seized". They went willingly and came back somewhat chastised.

It had been held by terrorists since 1861 and the US Army took it away...in military terms: they seized it. Considering the siege took seven weeks, I don't think there was anything 'willing' about it. If you mean the fighting nationwide, that lasted four years and the terrorists threatened to hole up in the mountains where they could continue fighting for years, detonating the 19th Century version of IEDs on unsuspecting American soldiers.

One of my favorite quotes about the Civil War, "South Carolina is too small for a republic and too large for an insane asylum." - James L. Petigru
