The goalie on the Hockey East all-decade team is Maine's Jimmy Howard. He's also the fan favorite.

A win over BC and Maine could get the #3 seed.

If all favorites win tomorrow except Maine, then the Bears would be a #4 seed with Wisconsin, Cornell and Alaska in Albany.

Great to see Maine win that one last night. I'd like to think they went out and did it for Gil.

Great effort from Maine last night. They played well in all areas of the game last night. The intensity was from them last night was awesome. Great defensive game, strong forecheck, stron special teams play, crisp passing and opportunistic offense. Couple that with another strong performance from Wilson and that is a recipie for success. Kudos to Wilson for stepping up under tough circumstances to step in and go 3-1 at the most important time of the year. No bigger save this year than when he stoned Gaudet on the shorthanded breakaway with under three minutes left.

Wilson in my eyes has forever retired the moniker we have used when we talked about him.:)

Can't wait for tonights game!!!!

WGME showed footage of Tim on the bench telling the team to get more people in front of the net...then Maine scored the second goal...cut to Dave Eids saying, "See? Good things happen when you listen to coach."

Most important is that Dave has exorcised all the demons and bad luck that has followed him. Regardless of what happens tonight. He has done his school and himself proud. I could not be happier for the kid. Great comeback story. Now if he could put an exclamation point on it tonight :)

The Gahdin was a morgue during the first game and the play on the ice was representative of that; slow and boring. From the first shift of the Maine/BU game you could tell we were in for a dandy. The Maine fans must have outnumbered the BU faithful by at least 3-1.

Come on down to Bahstin if you can - regardless of the final outcome you will have fun but bring a boatload of cash cuz the concessions are outrageous.

Congrats to you guys, the Maine fans, as has been said several times already, were awesome last night, as was that game. while I won't be pulling for you guys to win, for selfish reasons, good luck anyway, and I'll be happy for you fans if they do win and you get in the tourney!

facts would be fine too, your posts (besides the pairwise analyses) are all "nuuh uhh" and "I guess YOU were wrong"
someone posts ANYTHING that turns out to be wrong, and you go back looking and repost their false prognostication and roll your eyes" but you NEVER go out on the same limb and take a risk of being wrong.

I have said it before, you have a wealth of knowledge about maine hockey history, and seemingly all the time in the world to look things up, and instead of adding to the conversation, you post like a 12 year old,
"Nuuuh, uuuuhhh."

as for the win... wally, how could you EVER think that i wanted the team to win? They had to talk me off of the balcony last night as soon as Maine took the lead, I was in consolable after the second goal.
I waste thousands of dollars going to watch and support the boys HOPING that they lose 400-0 every night.

I did ask at the door if they allow shut-ins and agoraphobics to buy tickets, and to my great surprise, they will let such "fans" in the door. You coming, Priceless?

Great game from start to finish. Team D was exceptional, continuing the impressive play from the UML series. Just a really fun game to watch...the w obviously helps!

Getting ready to make the trip to the Gahdin. Can't wait to join the Maine faithfull. What a performance they put on last night, definitely outnumbering BU in their back yard.

Dave Wilson will never be forgotten! It's crazy how a couple of big w's can turn the fortunes.

Go phkn get em boyz!

I have to admit I was one of those people that were harsh on Wilson. More than once I called him nothing more than a DII goalie. This morning I happily put maple syrup on my words and ate them. I have to say I like the "I'll show you attitude."
