The part I like the best is how big corporate donors are turning against the nutbags in Congress. Koch even came out urging a quick resolution. The one saving grace of the Republican party isn't the likeability of its members or their stance on the issues. Its the ability raise gobs of cash from wealthy individuals and industries. If they abandon the party there's just not enough fundamentalist whackjobs to sustain it.

I didn't really believe earlier reports that Obama would suddenly grow a pair if he were reelected and no longer had to please his handlers to get reelected. However, it appears to be the case, he's going to go all-out this term to re-shape American society. Will be an interesting ride, if nothing else.

It's kind of funny how he continually parades his daughters around in the front of the press and brings them up over and over in defense of everything from gun control to eating your vegetables. But this week when someone pointed out that Obama supports 24/7 armed guards on his own kids (which makes sense) while being opposed to protection for other people's kids, he hired Carney to go on a poutrage-fest about how people were bringing his daughters into a political debate! The hypocrisy is astonishing and small-minded.

the right to bear arms still exists no matter what he does. i never thought the 2nd amendment read "right to bear every and all arms".

Well El Presidente has proposed some executive orders on gun control. Does anyone think that anything done will keep the criminals from using a firearm when committing a crime?
