maybe it was a combo of the flu and the big ice? Not enough energy? I'm assuming that's why ARD let 3 in. ;)

wwhyte, you should've talked with me and then pull TTT20 over after he was finished booting from his nerves! As for attendance, I tried to explain that NO WHERE was their local advertising for the FF being in Durham! So yes poke checker, it was very pathetic but I knew it would be embarrassing.....what was worse was the NCAA deciding NOT to have any programs!! NO effing programs! So why expect anyone to market the event.....to Eeyore, with the students on break, everything woul close early....the situation is that locals know to go to Portsmouth for food, especially after 9, even on a Friday night....Portsmouth has every type of ethnic, holistic, raw food you can imagine with 130 establishments.....one restaurant for every 85 residents, so locals get used to this as a reality....

I agree with you. In so many BC games, it seems like the opponent is almost paralyzed and stands there watching BC skate around. Clarkson didn't do that; the Golden Knights came out believing they were the better team and intent on proving that. I thought MacAulay had a great game controlling the puck on the wall and making BC work to get it back in its D zone.

From a competition standpoint, this was as good as any women's FF semis that I can remember.

I also thought that at times Mercer on the forecheck was as relentless as a bulldog with a porkchop.

Extremely impressed with Clarkson.

And speaking of Bulldogs what about the 2008 FF semi in Duluth?...UNH vs UMD...that was a barnburner.

It was, but the Wisconsin win over Harvard that preceded it wasn't at the level that we saw yesterday.

I agree. My mistake, I thought you were referring to the one game but you were referring to both, collectively.

Nice article Grant. On the OT goal, it was one of the first times all night that the CCT defense was on its heels. I thought it was going to lead to an immediate chance on the rush, especially given the line that was coming in, but it didn't. However, they were forced to overplay and it left Skarupa all alone due to that overplay. It's disappointing because the Knights were playing aggressive at the blue line all game and this was the one time where they backed in.

Playing in a dogfight like this was a good experience for BC. I don't think they've seen this all year, while Minny had several challenges during the season. It should give your Eagles some confidence going into Sunday. That being said, BC was outplayed and outworked for almost the entirety of the game. They won't be able to do that with Minnesota and still come out on top of the ledger. Clarkson missed a number of open chances and were assessed a number of horrible penalties (although BC also fell victim to the horrible penalty call on one of the calls in the 3rd).

Is this a first where both semifinal games were decided in overtime? And by the same score?

I am with you on this and will add that I hope each player can go home after knowing they did best they could and can enjoy having had a great season.

As much as I'd like to see the trophy come back east, I'm really at a loss for who to root for in this game. Given a few of my experiences with BC's men's team and their fans, I wouldn't root for them against Al Qaeda. On the flip side, the Minny fans have been great at every men's FF I've been to and they were also great that the 2 women's FF I've been to. I'm going to say Minny 5, BC 4 in OT. Good luck to all of the ladies and may it be a great game.
 
I just went out to the ncaa site to reverify times ( sadly i am stuck in an airport) and I see the ncaa has posted the final score already

1 Boston College
3 Minnesota

I'm ok with that:)
