The 2016 Beanpot: The Sacred Quest for the Holy Grail of College Hockey in Boston

Re: The 2016 Beanpot: The Sacred Quest for the Holy Grail of College Hockey in Bosto

Waited two hours for the very delayed Red Line last year and then trudged through snow and slush to watch BU beat Harvard in double OT. Gonna miss it this year. Wish I could get the games on TV out here. People I talk to are all like, "what's a Beanpot?" Oh well...

My pick would be Harvard based on the way they've been playing, but this the Beanpot, so my money is still gonna be on a BC-BU final.

Any sports bar with the DirecTV sports package will have NESN. Mondays in February are usually pretty slow so I'm sure some bartender will take pity on you.

if you're basing your pick on how one of the teams is currently playing then BU should be your pick. Right Mookie?

Saw on Twitter that both BU and BC will be the home teams for their respective games.

Just checked the long range forecast and it doesn't appear that we will have a repeat of last year. Yay.

Now you've done it.

Oh crap!!!

I've been checking the weather religiously as I am on the road, taking the red eye home Thursday night, landing Friday morning, and they were predicting something for that time frame. While I was looking at that, plus weather for Wednesday when I take off again, I of course checked for Monday. I shouldn't have said anything!!! D@mn.

We'll be fine

God has no reason to punish all y'all for your cheaters this time around.

thank God. Last year I just got to the BC game in time after spending 2+ hours at Luigi's in Revere at the Beachmont T station watching the epic BU-H game only to find out that the trains weren't picking up even though they kept passing through. I wonder where they were going if not to the Gahden:confused:. Thanks to buddy's GF we got a ride but i had to pay for her ticket and parking to watch the loss. Not a good night:(

I had a dream last night where northeastern beat bu 11-7 in the first round this year

nice.. thank you.
very rough start to the season. hopefully the recent momentum can continue.. they are definitely playing team hockey now.
go Huskies.
I just have no faith in the defensemen.

I am really liking what I see out of Adam Gaudette. His game is really coming together.

I hope and pray for the first all time Harvard-Northeastern final. BC BU in the consolation game would be utterly fantastic.

Re: The 2016 Beanpot: The Sacred Quest for the Holy Grail of College Hockey in Bosto

I think this year we see either Harvard or Northeastern make the final.

I'll guess BU-Harvard. Harvard stuns BC in the 8pm game. Then Harvard wins their first Beanpot since 93'. Harvard dominated BU earlier this season for the better half of the game at Bright.

Re: The 2016 Beanpot: The Sacred Quest for the Holy Grail of College Hockey in Bosto

Have we actually confirmed that this is on NESN?

EDIT: Nevermind, it is

Gaudette had some fantastic chances in the BC game at Conte but either hit the side of the net, fell down and missed it completely, or shot it wide. If he could shoot he would have had 3-4 goals in that game.
