The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

The article lists both games @ ASU. And I interpret it as 2 @ WMU, which would give them 6 non-conference plus the ice breaker (exempt). I would guess CC and DU at at AF?

Colorado College declared earlier that Air Force would be travelling, along with New Hampshire or Boston College (the 4th team in that series; can't remember which is involved with that though).

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

From what I've heard, Minnesota State will have separate home and home series with Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota.

UMN TBD.

UMD October 7 and 8.

I was told that UMD will be at Lowell October 7 & 8. This is the return trip for Lowell heading out there this past season.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

UW vs tOSU at Madison Square Garden on Jan 28 as part of the annual Big Ten "Super Saturday"

not sure who counts as the home team...

In a case like that, I would expect it to be considered a "neutral ice" game, probably with either a coin-flip or two-year-agreement to determine the last change. It's not like UCONN playing in Hartford, where it is still their responsibility to assume "hosting" duties, meaning they are officially the "home team" not only for purposes of the game, but also in terms of RatingsPI.

I was thinking more in terms of which team is giving up a game for this one and how it would impact the 2 home/2 away scheduling of the BTHC

Thanks much. I'm taking a wild guess on which opponent plays when for the Ledyard Classic, but they may all end up swapping (it's set opponents to make sure Colgate and Dartmouth don't play a third).

It's a preset format for the Dartmouth tourney, with both ECAC teams playing AZ St. and Lowell - I'm guessing Dartmouth didn't want to play an OOC game against Colgate, given they only play 7 OOC games a year. As far as order goes, that's TBD.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Here are a few bits and pieces concerning Denver's schedule for the 2016-2017 season. Denver will host Mount Royal University in an exhibition game on Saturday October 1st. Denver will host the Ice Breaker Tournament on Friday and Saturday October 7th and 8th. Air Force, Boston College and Ohio State will participate in the event in addition to Denver. The Pioneers will host Boston University on Friday October 14th.

Denver is going to Providence this year according to the PC beat writer.

Anyone hear anything on dates for the Dartmouth/Michigan game(s)?

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

UMD playing Minnesota State in a home and home series the first weekend of the season, so October 7th and 8th. Will be in the North Star College Cup and that's in late January.
