Not sure why you're excluding Polamalu. That was a nice strip, but other than that he's starting to look pretty old to me.Aside from Polamalu, this might be a worse than the Pats defense. Wow.

He saw a good 3rd quarter.
Mookie, sorry you didn't see a better game.

So where was Thompkins yesterday? Inactive? Injured? Of the rookies, I thought he looked better than Dobson to this point. In any case, it's been difficult to be patient, but we may have and outside passing game by the end of the season, especially if Gronk can draw attention to the middle of the field.Cautiously optimistic the the O is starting to come together. Gronk, Amendola, and Edelman as primarily options with Dobson as a deep threat plus the return of Vereen after the bye week isn't too shabby. Brady looked much sharper this game even though he took a few hits which is a good sign.
Agreed on Talib. They're not going to beat the Denvers of the world without him in the line up.

I was wondering that too. I know with Amendola being back someone had to lose playing time. Maybe Dobson's looked good in practice or something.
Thanks. That's probably a good thing. Thompkins has a lot of upside, but there's probably a reason that he wasn't drafted, and Amendola's injury probably forced him into a role he wasn't ready for yet. Assuming he's not hurt, he now has a chance to learn the offense and how to play receiver at the NFL level in practice, without being under a microscope. The offense may have a bright future. Which is probably a good thing, because the O may need to carry the team the rest of the year. You don't lose players like Wilfork and Mayo and not suffer a letdown.Thomkins was inactive
A letdown for sure butYou don't lose players like Wilfork and Mayo and not suffer a letdown.
Agree on the importance of Talib, but I'm assuming he's coming back, hopefully after the bye.A letdown for sure but
Talib is a bigger issue than either of those guys, I think the nose tackle by committee is working and the LBs haven't lost a step. The D has been ok, way better than the last few years. Its the O thats been the issue, 1 TD in the 3rd all season is what I've heard, thats pathetic

How do you pick that flag up? Gronk was mugged.Pats were screwed on that call, IMO.
The lesson here is that bc guys still try to cheat even after they leave bc.
