I really hope this happens as I am planning on attending at least the race in Montreal and possibly the one in Quebec City. One of my concerns about attending is that because it is so late in the season all the best riders will be done for the year.

Matti Breschel leaves Saxo for Rabobank. Mark Renshaw stays with Columbia-HTC, Jurgen Van de Walle to join Greipel at Omega Pharma Lotto

$6k for a used $8k retail bike?
He'd be lucky if he could get $2500 for that bike on ebay.
Of course, being that Landis owned it, he'd be lucky to get $500. :D

Carlos Sastre signed with Geox (currently Footon-Servetto) for next season.

Stefan Schumacher (still banned until later this month) has signed with Miche, and will be back racing by the end of this month.

Vacansoleil and Quick Step appear to be the two teams gunning for Ricco's services.

And little Levi destroyed Lance's Leadville 100 record by over 12min. Who knew that the guy could mountain bike too? I'm not sure who's wheel he was following to break that record by so much. :)

Wow, didn't see that coming at all.
Menchov signs with Geox (joining Sastre) for next season. Everything I read had him likely going to Katusha.
That could be an interesting tandem for next season's Grand Tours.

I hope Vac actually gets an invite to a GT next year, Giro should work best. I think they've applied for PT status.

Also Lampre and ISD have merged. Not sure how things will shake out but a team with Scarponi, Visconti, Petacchi, and potentially Cunego would be VERY strong especially in one day hilly classics.

So does that finally make Gesink Rabo's main man for the big tours?

Not really sold. Can't TT for his life.

What about the Great Bauke Mollema as Rabo's GT hope?

Anyway, Gesink is still young and has the ability to improve his TT, look at A. Schleck. Also I'm not sold that his poor TT rep is entirely justified, I know about his shambolic CLM at Suisse this year, but he isn't without hope. I mean he did finish 10th at the Olympics TT.

They're bringing back the chicken. :D

Geox looks like they have pretty much guaranteed being invited to all the grand tours next year with a nice 1-2 punch.
