I'd be happy if they just flat out waived him. He's truly useless...an enforcer who does not enforce...to the tune of 1.5M/yr. I actually chuckled watching John Erskine get the best of him Friday night, and what he did last night has no place in hockey.

I never thought of him as a dirty player. But yeah. that ain't right.

So, the Vancouver organist just played "Clocks" by Coldplay.

RDS is reporting that Montreal has traded Guillaume Latendresse to Minnesota for Benoit Pouliot.

Two underperforming disgruntled Francophone players changing places. Er... OK.

Is anyone else watching CBJ-NYR?

The Rangers apparently scored, but it was ruled on the ice that the puck didn't cross the line and play continued. Ten seconds later, the Rangers scored.

After the called goal, they had to go back and review the apparent first goal to see if it went in and time had to be added to the clock. (No goal was the final decision on that one). I don't think I had ever seen that.

So, basically, it is still 1-0?

No...Columbus scored two goals both by Boll on similar set-ups.

Rangers answered with three straight from Gaborik, Anisimov, and Del Zotto.

3-2 starting the 2nd.

Check that 6-2 Rangers.

Fatty Hitchcock's team is getting good at getting blown the hell out.

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

Bertuzzi is in classic form. Two penalties so far tonight, slow skating, half-assed effort.

Ugh.

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

7-2 Rangers up on the BJs. Gaborik with two goals and two assists.

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

Columbus forgot how to play defense that period, the rangers made them look like the squirt team that.played between periods. Expecting to see some fights this period unless Columbus makes it interesting

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

The Maple Leafs had 61 shots on goal tonight against the Islanders.

The Leafs lost in overtime 4-3.

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

It's all on ToskaLOL. He apparently "tweaked his groin" after giving up the third goal. He's lucky that real fans can't get tickets to Leafs games or he might die.

Maybe Gaborik could give him some advice about recovering? ;)
