Not too bad for a HS coach.

Skjei has played terrible this year there is no question about that.
Skjei = Forbort - both drafted off potential based on raw tools, but at the end of the day you need to know how to play hockey too.

Of course you KNOW, if USA wins the gold and Canada comes in 4th, Canada's going to demand a change to the format so that only the top 4 go to the medal rounds.

Sweet. Petty program disputes when we should be focusing on the fact that these kids are playing for their country and there are scary Russian cheerleaders dancing in skimpy neon outfits every game. Get your priorities straight people.

I disagree. Cheerleaders are an important part of a gameday atmosphere.Cheerleaders belong at the basketball court, not the hockey rink. I do appreciate the eye candy, though.

We're all rooting for the same result, regardless of what jersey these guys wear when not wearing the red, white & blue.
It's a scholarship "sport" over on your side of the border, no?![]()
Kudos to USA Hockey for thinking outside the box and having a HS coach take the reigns. As others have mentioned, have to believe junior programs/colleges will start calling Housley.
There used to be the thought that USA Hockey relied too heavily on its own guys--the Ann Arbor guys--I'm curious if that belief is still out there. I honestly don't know as I don't follow it closely enough. But in recent years I haven't seen the complaining about this topic that I used to see. From afar, there appears to be a good mix on this team of CHL players, Development Team players and other players. Keep this momentum going.
