Its great to win the Gold Medal and its fun to to watch the Canadian agonize over the state of the game up North. But at the end of the day we probably need to keep things in perspective.

Canada still produces more hockey players, has far more depth and has kept the game far more affordable for young players.

Clearly the USNDP works. It is producing elite players that are performing on the international stage. But if its working so well, perhaps its time to expand the concept. Setting up regional development programs or youth programs that expands the reach of the game nationally. In other words, "Take the show on the road."

No doubt the USA is seeing the fruits of the game growing in non-traditional markets. Lets hope the momentum continues.

How much prodding do you think it would take for JDUBBS to say "Minnesota has more hockey tradition than Canada!"

Per capita, more Minnesotans attend high school hockey games than Canadians.

The CCHA is **** lucky Miami doesn't have those 4 weapons....

Amen to that! They are very good as it is, but with two more stud D's along with Biggs and Hartman hitting people they would be scary. But I guess that's what you get when you recruit (potential) first rounders.
