Okay, I'm in. What's the pay?
Step 1: Paint the visitors locker room pink: http://tinyurl.com/yjrxpo5
Step 2: Put Lifesavers in the visitors shower heads and remove the toilet seats.
Step 3: Replace cute Husky mascot with terrifying alien mascot: http://tinyurl.com/2lmjag
Step 4: Hire hot "Ice Girls" to distract fans and opposing players: http://tinyurl.com/y9obqgq

Step 4 is easily the best idea you've ever had. :p

Well it goes beyond coaching... I'll take over the equipment duties and make sure Tech is getting paid tens of thousands of dollars in endorsement contracts. Jerseys, sticks, skates, protective gear, etc. You want your company's name on the gear, then send a fat check c/o MTU hockey. No more of this "oh please just make our jerseys OT Sports, we'll pay whatever you ask..." Oh yeah and new jersey styles every year to drive souvie sales too.

My first move as equipment mgr is that I'm selling the treadmill to make room for the ice girls lockerroom. Hey, we all have to make sacrifices to turn this program around...

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

Here's a Chris Tok article from the Austin Daily Hearld. Not too much in there, basically just says he's the new coach/general manager.

Austin Bruins pick a head coach

Also mentioned in the Duluth News Tribune, although they call him Mike. Link

Tok to head NAHL franchise

Coleraine native Mike Tok, a Michigan Tech assistant the last four years, has been head coach and general manager of the first-year North American Hockey League team in Austin, Minn. The franchise, owned by Craig Patrick, was admitted to the league in February and begins play in 2010-11.

Tok, 37, played four seasons as a defenseman at the University of Wisconsin from 1991-95 and was in the professional minor leagues from 1995 through 2001. He was an assistant in the U.S. Hockey League for four seasons with Waterloo (Iowa)., and was a finalist for a Minnesota Duluth assistant opening in 2008.

The NAHL-expansion team will play at Riverside Arena in Austin.
