Interesting question for you, stemming from what I witnessed from your band at the GLI:

How do you signify 21 when Michigan's band plays Band Room Riff for the 21st time?

I'm sure we have someone in our band named Jack, and one of the other guys is nicknamed Ace. Problem solved. :D

If you have two guys named Ace, can you split them into two separate sections?

(I think if we make it to 21 times, we start counting in binary - finger up for 1, down for 0.)

Yes, but only one more dude, and no re-splitting. Ménage à trois must involve at least one woman. :D

Good thing you don't do binary for 4, 128, or 132. ;)

My sophomore/rookie year it got into the 30s and I think we just started doing our "Play something else!" chant.

From Tech Today:

RUSSELL RELEASED FROM HOCKEY HUSKIES COACHING DUTIES

HOUGHTON - Michigan Tech athletic director Suzanne Sanregret announced today that Jamie Russell has been released from the remaining two years of his contract as coach of the Michigan Tech men's ice hockey team.

"Russell truly was a passionate and ardent supporter of this program who wanted it to return to prominence as badly as any of us," said Sanregret. "However, at this time we feel a new direction is what is needed to restore this program to its past glory. We wish Russell all the best in his future endeavors."

Russell, a 1989 Michigan Tech hockey alumnus, compiled a record of 66-167-33 in his seven years as coach.

Yeah, they obviously smelled it coming a mile away.

Coaching candidates anyone? I think the first guy Tech should be calling is that guy who was fired from Finlandia. If they're looking to up the pay and benefits ante, they could easily go after Ken Hitchcock and Rico Blasi.
