St. Norbert General

I'm thinking that there might be more USHL players populating the D3 ranks in the coming years... and that some players might pick the USHL over the CHL to keep their college options open.

I also think that the term "D1 rejects" is a bit harsh here; many probably could've had a D1 roster spot if not for the CHL decision, and just got pretty unlucky.

I've counted 55 CHL commitments to D1 so far, using neutralzone's commitments page. Crazy. We could be looking at over 100 by the time 25-26 rolls around.

You can play in the CHL now and not lose college eligibility, at least in D1.

Seems as though Adams has left the program. His player card isn't on the website any longer. We have brought in a goalie, that being Vaughn Makar from the Anchorage Wolverines of the NAHL. He posted a .909 Save% in 18 games in the 2023-24 season, and a .883 Save% in seven games this season. Welcome to SNC!

Rather unusual addition of a junior player midseason...

Dang, this is surprising and I wonder what the circumstances are around this? Also ironic that like Adams, Makar is a Culver Prep alum...

Pretty disappointing showing... not enough clean passing, everyone trying to be the goalscoring hero instead of making plays, and a horrid amount of defensive mistakes. Garvey wasn't great this weekend, but he's far from the poorest performer on this squad right now.

When the Minnesota State exhibition was announced, my thought was that I wished it was the first contest after the break. I feared it would be too easy to look past this WIAC weekend to that game, and obviously these two WIAC games were/are exponentially more important.

They need to figure out how to get the offense going. With only 7 goals in the last 5 games, they are lucky it is only a three game losing streak.

This is starting to feel like the 2014-15 season where they were on fire for the first half and fell apart in January.

The last season SNC scheduled a D1 exhibition (in which they canceled a NC game against Gustavus, which had they played and won would’ve likely earned them the last Pool C at-large in NCAA’s)

Didn't David Jacobson break his leg in warmups that season?
