St. Norbert General

5-5 tie at the Cornerstone tonight. Plus SNC had a sixth goal that was disallowed.

This turned out to be a fun event with a good crowd. The structured situations ended up washing out in the end, with each team getting a goal on a scripted power play, a shorthanded goal and an empty-net goal. There wasn't a lot of checking as you would expect but both teams went at it pretty good. Some long stretches without whistles and only 42 faceoffs in the game, which is pretty low if that gives you any indication as to the flow. Was also good to catch Luke Strand for a while before the game. Both teams got out of it what they were hoping to with plenty of 5-on-5 time and all special-teams situations.

What has happened to this team over the last six weeks. They were on fire in November and they can't buy a goal now. So hard to watch.

Tonight was just the fifth time in program history that the Knights blew a lead after two at home.

Awful passing. They're not making plays, they're too busy skating around with the puck to shoot and be the hero. Selfish. Also, they can't control the puck worth a damn after the first period. We'd have lost by a lot more if we were playing against a better team.

It's a shame to see what this season is turning into after such an incredible start. It's time to reset my expectations and to hopefully enjoy whatever success they are able to find over the next month+.

With it being a four horse race in the NCHA, they haven't quite played themselves out of a chance at a conference title yet. But they have eliminated pretty much all margin of error for a shot at an at large bid.

It was an odd uniform combination last night. As the road team SNC was wearing their home whites, but with black helmets. CUW wore lime green for Mental Health America.

It was great to see #11 back to his old ways of filling up the score sheet tonight.

It was a really fun fast paced game at the Kern Center.
