as I have posted in the DU thread. I may not like North Dakota, but hits like that make me SICK. Marvin is an utter disgrace for that cheap shot. He went high...it looked like head-hunting to me. A lengthy suspensions is an order I think. High hits like these need to be eliminated.:mad: :mad: :mad:

He deserved a 5 minute major, but I don't think he was trying to hurt him. I am not saying it is right, but those type of hits happen all the time. Guys need to learn you can't hit people high like that.

I don't know if it was intent to injure, but still, you should be smart enough to realize that high hits are going to hurt the guy. Hence the reason he should take a long suspension.

He is out for sure tonight and I am sure the WCHA will look at it. The hit would have been fine if he doesn't hit him high. Guys need to learn to control their arms and not hit high.

Yes it was a cheap hit and he deserved the penalty, but to say that he left his feet to make the hit and that is worse is a bunch of bull. Watch the next hit down the ice with the UND player who does the same thing to the Husky player, I believe it's Hepp along the boards. He leaves his feet to deliver the shot the difference is the player has his side to the boards instead of his face.

I disagree and you can tell he had intent to injure. Those types of hits probably happen all the time at your rink but not at the Ralph.

Not every hit to the head happens because a player is trying to hurt the other player. Guys get hit to the head all the time, but they don't always get their bell rung or get a concussion. Let me guess you never played the game and don't realize how hard it is to control your body? In no way am I saying it is ok to hit to the head like that, but I understand it can happen without the guy trying hurt the guy or even trying to hit him in the head. marvin has never been a dirty player, so I think he should get the benefit of the doubt.

It's pretty clear from the video that Marvin was in control of his body when he made that hit.

Whether he hits him high or not, it was still from behind. Probably not a 5 if he doesn't, but he did, so it was.

Take off your red glass and go watch the video again Marvin chased Chay all the way from the defensive zone up the ice and hit Chay when he didn't even have the puck, the Elbow to the back of the head was a bush league hit and pretty apparent that it was a deliberate attempt at trying to hurt Chay. One game isn't enough, if this hack had done this in the NHL it would be a 2-3 game suspension.

And yet SCSUtommyboy makes excuses and tries to say it wasn't dirty.
I wonder how he would feel if UND planted the two trolls Roe and Lasch into the boards?
