SCSU and UW: Badger hunting

Re: SCSU and UW: Badger hunting

Does SCSU roll 4 lines like UW does? UW may have the advantage in F depth, depending on the answer to this question. I'd give an edge in D to UW and a edge in goal to SCSU. These edges are not huge advantages, but slight ones.

I see a pair of 1 goal gut wrenching games.

I'd say that SCSU is among the top when it comes to depth at forward this year. I think UW, DU and SCSU are first as far as how talented their top three lines are, with UND just a step down. Then there's a big gap between whoever's next.

Question to the St. Cloud fans...did it get chippy at all in the UND series? It had a decent amount of build up and I was wondering if anything got out of hand.

Let's put it this way... with 4 and a half minutes left, UND up 7-1, even with WCHA refs looking to keep things even, UND gave St. Cloud a 7 minute power play. There was a ton of chippiness, and I'm wondering if Chris Hepp isn't gonna have to sit Friday night because of him being stupid last night in retaliation.

Wrong - We beat Denver and VW predicted a McNaughton cup upon that victory.

Did... did you just refer to yourself in the third person?

Well you guys did ruin UND's chances of winning anything this year by taking out Genoway... It was coming.

I believe I did.

Re: SCSU and UW: Badger hunting

If your team revolves around one person that much, you weren't going anywhere to begin with.

I agree, but he is the only DMan they have that knows how to put the puck in the back of the net. It's unfortunate for both teams because Marvin was playing in the heat of the battle and UND fans are being unforgiving *****s about it. Oh well. Not my problem.

I wouldn't say UND fan's are out of line with their comments. go to youtube and watch that hit. it was intentionally to the back of the head and Genoway is lucky he didn't have any damaged vertebrae. that hit was probably the dirtiest and most unnecessary hit I've seen in college hockey in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. Could have put that kid in a wheel chair. thank god that didn't happen.

Yeah it was bad, but it looked like Marvin was just trying to check him hard into the boards and ended up going way too high. **** happens. You're right, though. Thank god he isn't in a wheel chair.

No one is saying Marvin's hit was anything but dirty, but how long are they going to hold a grudge? Better question, what does trying to be even dirtier prove?

When I re-watched it appears to me that Marvin tracks him from the blue line in. the puck was long gone when he hit him.

I have no dog in this fight (and no husky jokes please), I'm merely saying this won't end from UND fans (and I feel rightly so) until Marvin has graduated.

There's no place in hockey for that kind of hit.

I agree with your point. It's just truly unfortunate and we sure are lucky we aren't dogs in this fight. The fun part is that SCSU and UND are travel partners in the new WCHA format.

It was an illegal hit for sure, but if that's the worst you've seen, you must not watch a lot of hockey.

Yeah, unlike now when we're still travel partners?

Anyone wanna, I dunno... discuss SCSU @ UW this weekend?

Re: SCSU and UW: Badger hunting

We could all block VW then half the responses about it would be gone... and so would the rest of his posts...
