dude. SCSU is playing **** good hockey. A split is not what I'd like to see but is the most likely scenario.

don't sell the malamutes short. and don't inflate UW. They're good, but have a ways to go IMO. Geoffrion, Davies, B. Smith, C. Smith, need to keep producing and Stepan at some point needs to return from the WJC

OMG - yes I do. My expectations for this team have been and continue to be high. Yes, SCSU is playing good hockey, but they just got clobbered by a struggling UND at home so they have their vulnerabilities as well.

And we all know a team that gets clobbered one game has no chance the next week. :rolleyes:

Boy this is a clash of the titans type of series. A sweep by either team will cement the winner in the 3rd spot or better, the loser would kind of be stuck in 4th place.

Both teams have quality finishers that will bury the puck, so minimizing mistakes and bigtime goaltending will be at a premium.

My gut tells me when you look at forwards, the teams are equal in terms of top end talent. Does SCSU roll 4 lines like UW does? UW may have the advantage in F depth, depending on the answer to this question. I'd give an edge in D to UW and a edge in goal to SCSU. These edges are not huge advantages, but slight ones.

I see a pair of 1 goal gut wrenching games.

We beat Denver, and thus have already won the McNaughton.

Agreed. This is not going to be an easy series by any means. St. Cloud just got hammered and I am sure they are going to come back strong.

Question to the St. Cloud fans...did it get chippy at all in the UND series? It had a decent amount of build up and I was wondering if anything got out of hand.

VW...please...either take Wisconsin out of your name or go try and breath underwater.

Mario Lamoreaux was seconds away from becoming famous for getting his *** beat by Aaron Marvin, but the referees broke it up before they could get down to brass tacks.

Then Darcy Zajac thought he would be a hero by slashing the Dane. Something about the weaker younger brothers of former Sioux stars.

Ugh...that's pretty much everyones goal in the WCHA is to get a a split on the road. Unless you go to Tech.

Well, I still hope you are correct. Although when I did the WCHA What If today, it basically looked like the only way we win it is if Denver drops points to Tech
