Re: SCSU 2009-2010 Season Thread

I have nothing against a sports band, but long time fans like myself for the most part don't want a band. When it comes to NCAA regionals and final five they want you there because they won't play the piped in music for the team like they do at home games.

When I was a student the sports band use to get pelted with stuff all the time by other students and told to shut up. The school has it's own tradition and it's ok if it is different than other schools. I for one don't want SCSU to be like everybody else and I like the fact they do things differently.

But if they were like Wisconsin's band, we'd take it. They know how to be rowdy.

Mediocre Pep Band > Piped in Music

They don't even need to play the whole time, but it would be nice if they could get SOME time in.

A pep band would add to the atmosphere. They could still use a little of both but getting some variety with a pep band would be a good thing IMO.

Euro, since you're on here regularly and follow the Huskies closely do you read (or post) on DaHuskies.com? Since there isn't a "Euro" over there thought I would ask. There are threads about committed recruits and prospects with pretty good information (along with regular "uncensored" skeetermanisms as well.) ;)

My sentiments exactly. I mean, at the very least, it would be nice for the fans to actually hear the Rouser played after goals.

Re: SCSU 2009-2010 Season Thread

although dunn played well early in the year it is time to go to Lee. He is a better goalie regardless of stats and it is time to ride the top recruit.

Re: SCSU 2009-2010 Season Thread

Dunn was really bad, 3rd start in a row now and it cost us a point IMO.
I'm glad they fought back and showed some heart as previous Husky teams would not have but man this should have been a win.

It is time to stop fooling around. who on this board feels more comfortable with dunn over lee. I am guessing nobody. I think we will see Lee from here on out. Secondly this Huskies team is really good. I hope they don't crap out at the end but they remind me of the 2000-2001 team in that they probably will not win the league but they go into each game thinking they should win.

Re: SCSU 2009-2010 Season Thread

Depends on how Lee plays tomorrow.
If he steps up and makes the plays, then yeah, give him a weekend, see what happens.
If he doesn't the rotation will continue.
Someone should step up and take the job, not be handed it.

This is exactly my thoughts on the issue as well.

...and as far as pep bands go, NOBODY touches Michigan Tech. They even take the Gophers band...I have watched the crazy cowbell kid from Tech at the Final Five for several years now and love it!

I disagree. I'd rather listen to the real version of "Smoke on the Water" than listen to some doosh butchering it with his trombone.

Re: SCSU 2009-2010 Season Thread

Anyone watch top 10 on ESPN tonight? Seeing if a goal at 59:59.9 that keeps a lengthy streak of 0-27-4 against 1 team at home made the cut?
