Re: SCSU 2009-2010 Season Thread

No, neither goalie stepped up, but it has to be about more than wins, how they play has to be factored into it and except for Saturday, Lee has played great of late and Dunn has not played well his last few starts.
So let me get this straight:

Except for Saturday, Lee has played great of late. So let's say since the team got back from break. He has only played four games, one of them he gave up five goals. We won 3 of the four.

Dunn has played six and struggled in two. We won all six.

I don't know how much you know about hockey, but no matter what you know or think you know, YOU DON'T SIT A GOALIE THAT HAS WON SEVEN STARTS IN A ROW

I'm not saying sit him now am I? I'm saying the same thing some of you were saying a few months ago when it was Lee giving up soft ones, that if he continues to do it, maybe he should sit. Maybe. I still believe what i have believed all year, that we are in for a rotation until the final game we play. A rotation that likely continues next year unless someone steps up.

I think we're in a rotation now, yeah, but I have a feeling by tournament time, we won't be. And I also feel that by the start of next year, Lee will be the No. 1 for sure.

That's the thing about FTLT, if I may steal a line from Stephen Colbert. She believes the same thing Wednesday as she did on Monday....... no matter what happens Tuesday.

I believe what I believe, I'm not here to make friends, people don't like that, that's their problem.
Fact is, Dunn has not played well his last few starts and that can't continue, while Lee was fantastic against Quinnippiac and Minnesota yet was average against CC.
Basically, it's still as clear as mud.

I'm trying to decide who's more annoying...St. Cloud fans or Michigan Tech fans. MTU fans are annoying because they're huge nerds...while our fans are annoying because they just can't stop beating a dead horse. I'm almost 30 years old...I have more important things to think about than who's in goal. :p

No you don't. ;)

No discipline for Motzko or the ref.

Re: SCSU 2009-2010 Season Thread

It's obvious to me that Lee has already peaked. His career is over. He just can't get the job done. No matter how many boners my dog gets, it won't make a difference. No matter how wet he makes FTLT. What more can I say?

I'm here to help.

Re: SCSU 2009-2010 Season Thread

I think it is unfair if you just base it off of the past two series. Dunn is not playing his best, but I think going into the second half of the season he had proved himself to be better than Lee. Dunn struggles for two games and you are saying if he struggles a third game, bench him? It's a long season, players are going to get hot and cool off.

Maybe I missed the game where Mike Lee played his way into a starting job. I haven't seen one great game from him this year.

It is crunch time. The team can not afford to have their goalies let in soft goals. Dunn has played bad over the last two games and the team can't have that. If Dunn plays bad Friday and Lee plays well on saturday I would play Lee Friday at Wisconsin. If Lee then goes out and sieves out I never said Dunn can't play saturday. However, if Lee plays good I would then play him again. If Dunn plays well this friday then play him Friday at Wisconsin. I am looking ahead on a what if basis.......

I don't get why Kevin didn't ask Sheppard about the missed offsides call that cost the team the game when he had him on the phone. Any true hockey fan already knew once the whistle is blown the play is dead. Even if the whistle wasn't blown, the ref can claim he wanted to blow it and screw a team. The real injustice was the play where the guy was two feet offsides and everybody but the bumb a$s linesman knew it.
