See, I said this was going to be interesting. I mean, I have to imagine the details are buried somewhere (or it's just obvious to someone with a law degree) why that wouldn't apply. But that's a very loose sentence from the Chief Justice.
 
Oh hey the Justice whose far-right wife works with far-right personalities to make up far-right stories thinks social media shouldn't be able to hold far-right posters accountable.
 
Yeah corporations have First Amendment rights...unless those First Amendment Rights have to do with actual free speech in which case they don't. Kind of destroys the argument made in Citizens United...

Which case are you referring to? Biden v Knight? Barrett recused in Google.

From the linked review it seems like this is Thomas' usual brainless stenography for far right gibberish. At least three of the GOP justices have no business on any court, let alone the Court. Just another reason for +6.

I was wondering same. I could not find what he was talking about. I did see that Kavanaugh and Roberts are forming a middle. Gorsuch on some issues is pretty open minded. It appears that ACB is going to end up full Thomas.

It's an easy problem for the courts to solve, if they want to. The idea that somehow things like Twitter and Facebook are part of the public domain where free speech becomes an issue, is silly. If Facebook or Twitter want to pull the plug tomorrow on the whole operation, so be it. It's not violating anyone's free speech. Where we have gone off track is the idea that somehow politicians' twitter accounts or facebook accounts are public domains where politicians can't "block" someone from commenting without violating that person's free speech rights. That's stupid too. Does that mean that if I'm a politician I can never cancel my twitter account?

If courts don't make a mistake on the second question, the first question never becomes an issue and Thomas' ramblings on whether twitter should have a right to block accounts continues to be a non-issue.

Gorsuch, like Roberts, is sane unless it's about the Plutes' heists, then he's full bore Nazi.

Kavanaugh is like Alito: pseudo-intellectual gibberish to cover for a partisan hit man.

ACB is just a drooling moron. She makes Thomas look like Oliver Wendell Holmes. Hell, she makes Turk Wendell look like Oliver Wendell Holmes.
