Scores and Highlights 09-10

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Megan Bozek scores her second of the day at 17:23 of the third period to make it 3-1 Gophers with 2:37 to play in regulation.

EDIT: All four goals today have been on the power play.

Gopher of Anarchy: The big blueliner from Chicago picks up two goals, including the game winner against the Sioux.

Are you trying to start rumors? I am the her:eek:

OOOOPs...Read that wrong...Thought it was a Hux posting. :o :o :o

Sincere apologies....Bedtime for me.

No problem! I'm not that sensitive:)

The NH TV news was there, and caught it on video. He rewound and saw it go in, and bounce out forcefully. Our videographer got it as well - will post when available. Fortunately, the 'Cats came back more determined than ever.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

I guess you're officially one of *them* now.

:(

If, by that, you mean that he supports women's hockey, and can acknowledge a good effort by a particular team, then yep, he's one of us:)

Next year, when his daughter is matriculated at another fine hockey institution for higher learning, he won't be wearing blue, and his animal of choice is bigger than a Wildcat, but I'm sure he'll still know a good team when he sees one;)

BTW - fixed your post - English is a tough language - all those synonyms:p

Tks DC....Already have one D at a fine institution of higher learning playing some hockey with yet another animal as the teams mascot. One correction DC. If you do your home work you will find a Wildcat in our family. :) ;)

And you are right...I'll support a good effort, and recognise a good accomplishment when I see one no matter which team it is.

Looks pretty clear to me that it went in. It was not even straight in and out, as it rimmed in one direction, out another direction along the back crossbar.

Time for instant video reply a la NHL to solve goal scoring mysteries ?.

You can also see that at one point, a UNH player, #18, Paige Goloubef, made a valiant attempt to dive, but that Dartmouth player just wasn't having it, and held fast on to her ankles to prevent the dive;)

This is sarcasm, lest it not come through onscreen

I've had it with UNH's diving. I'm going to PetCo.

Is that where you get your meds? Explains a lot.

Hockey East makes use of video review, but the ECAC does not. While it did not impact the ultimate outcome, Miss Allen's resume is "robbed" of a pretty sweet goal.

Yeah I saw that hold as well. I've seen players trying to get loose from a foot hold like that getting tossed for kicking. Smart play on both sides, one for the hold, the other for not kicking and staying upright.

Have to agree Hanover is friggin ridiculous in winter...as are the Prairies...

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Cold air causes water to freeze, forming ice on lakes and ponds. So it's not all bad.:)

Yeah, but if it's too cold out during the day to be outside enjoying it, then it's a waste. There should be a happy medium (maybe only just cold enough overnight to keep the ice, but mild during the day?:D )....but don't mind me, it's very Canadian to complain about weather;) .

I'm still happy anyway because we didn't get our first killing frost until a week or so ago, and our first snowfall on Wednesday:) .
