Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

He did take a puck to the face during the first period, it looked like it got him pretty good as he skated right off the ice after it happened.

I should have realized that it was early in the game since he did participate in the shootout. As DrD said, it will improve his hockey looks. :)

Saw Koudys and his dad at the rink tonight -- good size. He's gonna fill out nicely. :D

There was a 2nd kid there with his mother. He looked kind of young. Kevin Broad came out and invited both kids into the locker room before tonight's game. The 2nd kid had a black coat on with black embroidery - hard to read -- but I did make out "Bull Dogs". His mom had some sort of a team jacket on with #2 on one side of the chest. He is not #2 from the Boston Bull dogs site. I'm not having any luck finding the kid on any team websites. Too tired to keep digging tonight. Maybe RedHead or someone else can shed some light on him.

I also saw Koudys and the 2nd kid there last night. Koudys has much longer hair now than what's in his stock photo, but it was definitely him. Nice and tall. I didn't get a good look at the second kid, but if I see a photo of someone who's suspected to be him, it may jog my memory. Certainly several inches shorter than Koudys.

It appears that the only two junior teams called Bull Dogs are Alberni Valley (BCHL) and Boston (AtlJHL). Why did you think that he wasn't #2 of Boston? Conceivably, he isn't really #2 and could be someone else from one of those teams.

Theres a Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs aaa midget team, if this second kid was with Koudys it would make some sense. Hamilton and Burlington are only 15 minutes apart. Could have been a Prep School or High School jacket as well. Wicked said he looked young, do we know what color hair he had?

I thought about HS but decided it would be too tough because there have to be hundreds although not so many with hockey teams.

That's a good point about Hamilton.

Edit: There is no #2 http://www.leaguelineup.com/teams_hockey.asp?cmenuid=5&url=midgetaaa&sid=395496920

Edit^2: Minor Midget perhaps http://www.leaguelineup.com/teams_hockey.asp?cmenuid=5&url=94jrbulldogs&sid=692619308

I believe it was the mother who was wearing the jacket with the #2 on the chest. Usually team jackets have the logo on the chest and a number on one of the sleeves. It could have been a jacket for a team the kid played on last year or might not have been a team jacket at all, looks like theres not gonna be enough details to figure this one out.

Yes it was the mother, and I agree that it may be an old team. If the player is on Heisenberg's list there is a chance.

I was kinda hopeful it was Juha, but after doing a quick search it doesnt look like he ever played for a team called the Bulldogs.

Sorry RB, I thought I mentioned it, the jacket the mom was wearing had "#2" on it. I regret not having more details...the light isn't great over there and the black on black embroidery is nearly impossible to make out without a flashlight.:p

I too thought of the Ham. Jr. Bulldogs...I don't think their site has photos.... The kid had light brown curly hair...maybe 5'9-10.

The Hamilton Jr Bulldogs Midget AAA site does have photos if you click on the names on the roster.

You did mention that it was the mother who was wearing #2.

Part of me wants to say this might be the kid. I don't see any hgt/wgt. listed for him. If this kid is under 6'0 it might be him.

Hawthr -- whaddya think ?

6'1' 195 lb http://www.thescoutingnews.com/inde...81:evan-mceneny&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=54

He played a bit for Burlington back in October http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/playerpage.html?playerid=3369759&seasonid=4693

Edit: He's still 15 years old http://www.amateurhockeyreport.com/youth/can_team/hamilton_bulldogs.html so we aren't looking at him for next year or even 2011.

Sounds a bit big to be him, sounds a bit young to be on a campus visit too.

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

I don't see anyone from Alberni's team that resembles the kid I saw last night. uggh Next time I'm just gonna ask him who he is... Maybe Hawthr can confirm or deny the ID....

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

I agree that he sounds young to be on a campus visit, but a 15-year old who plays a bit on a Jr A team is worth watching.
The Scouting News has some really good things to say about McEneny. Maybe he'll be back for tonights game and we can try and get a better look.

We got a look at a couple guys who looked like recruits from section 16, I think JCrawford has some photos that might help in identifying them.
