Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

After watching tonight's game, I certainly hope some of these recruits are ready to step up to the position of enforcer. We'll need some protection for D'Amigo and possibly Laliberte.

BTW, babo, how is your son at playing the game some of us like to call "squish the midget"? :D

You just answered you own question...and that is the very reason I think we'll see Curadi + possibly one more blueliner here next fall.

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

Huh, I guess I stand corrected. The face did look familiar. I guess my height sensing was a bit off...he didn't look 6'1" to me.

I agree about the heighth -- that's what threw me off of him as an initial ID. I don't think he's even at 5'11" yet...not unusual however, as we all know the roster stats are great works of fiction. :p

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

Thanks for doing it JC...RB and I will expect similar efforts with future recruits. :p

The earliest McEneny could be for is 2012. Since other teams are recruiting that far in advance, we must also, but it must be very hard to project talent that far.

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

Nick Quinn is sitting out Orangeville's game again this afternoon. Has anyone read anything about him being injured?

Im having some problems logging into The Scouting News website today for some reason. As soon as I can figure it out, I can post some info on what the scouts say about McEneny.

It looks like JL is back in form this afternoon. He must be trying to impress little brother. :)

The game summary will be posted when the game is over.

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

He just got another one. :D

So he did. :D Actually, that's two since my post.

He's tied Pirri's performance in the last game last season. He has still plenty of time for a double hat trick.

I can see him getting a few more today, Hawkesbury is just letting the Colts skate right into the zone and take free shots at the goaltender. JL's last 2 goals were just wrist shots between the circles and there wasnt a defender even close to him.

I wonder what kind of production Yanik would get if he was on a better team.

JL has stopped being selfish. ;)

Yanik has a couple of years to show his stuff. Like JL, he'll go somewhere else if Streetsville doesn't improve.

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

On Sunday, the Cornwall Colts defeated the Hawkesbury Hawks 9-3. Jacob Laliberté scored five goal  (1 PPG, 1 SHG) and added two assists. He was named #1 star. :) http://cjhlsite.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1048253

Laliberté's line is now 41-49-40-89-28.

How depressing-he has slumped from being involved in 100% of his team's scoring to only 77% In all seriousness-we need to give him 2 scholarships to come to Troy next year!!

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

JL needs to do some serious scoring and hope for a slump to even catch the leading scorer Damian Cross with 118 points so far. But hey I will take even half of JL output next season with Polacek, D'Amigo, Pirri, and Higgs.

You're correct since Cross is averaging more points per game and not all opponents are as week as Streetsville. The ironic thing is that Cross is the player who was traded to Pembroke by Cornwall to get JL.
