Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

Are you sure that Carter will be there? He hasn't appeared on any list yet.

I don't think that there is a limit, but there probably is a maximum amount of recruits that can be handled. I agree that the '85 team will be a selling point.

I read his name in one of the articles and assumed :o that he would be there. I have no information one way or the other.

With the Colts being off tonight, would it be greedy to hope that the Spink brothers will be visiting? :D

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

Im sure Jooris will bring along a couple of his players from Burlington, I suspect Koudys will probably be one them.
Koudys is indeed in Troy, he came in towards the end of the Legends of '85 discussion this afternoon at the Field House. Nobody else was with him when I spotted him.

Good to hear although there was no reason to assume that there is much of a reason that he needs to be "wined and dined". I would guess that he came with both Jooris Sr. and Jr., and they are in Schenectady but will be in Troy tomorrow.

Saw Koudys and his dad at the rink tonight -- good size. He's gonna fill out nicely. :D

There was a 2nd kid there with his mother. He looked kind of young. Kevin Broad came out and invited both kids into the locker room before tonight's game. The 2nd kid had a black coat on with black embroidery - hard to read -- but I did make out "Bull Dogs". His mom had some sort of a team jacket on with #2 on one side of the chest. He is not #2 from the Boston Bull dogs site. I'm not having any luck finding the kid on any team websites. Too tired to keep digging tonight. Maybe RedHead or someone else can shed some light on him.

Thanks. Hopefully one of us will figure out who it could be.

Thursday's Cornwall game http://www.standard-freeholder.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2437152
The Colts had a 2-0 lead in their first game against Brockville in over three months. But Cornwall got the game into overtime in unlikely fashion, getting a bizarre tying goal from captain Jacob Laliberte with seven seconds left in the third period.

Laliberte, with Colts' goalie Alex Chretien on the bench in favour of an extra attacker, spun around in an area near the faceoff dot and top of the circle, and flung a backhand shot toward the net. There were two Colts in front and a Braves defender in the area, and Laliberte was given credit for a goal when the puck apparently squirted past everybody, including Brockville veteran goaltender Clarke Saunders, and just got across the line.
