Re: RPI Pros V

So I'm going to throw this out there - the Leafs sent Jerry D'Amigo down in the first wave because he'll be named the fifth Captain of the Toronto Marlies, along with playing in a more offensive role. They didn't "write him off" early, they'd just like him to be at "his" camp from the beginning. http://theleafsnation.com/2013/9/17/leafs-make-first-cuts-damigos-leadership-leap

No great surprise here. I think JDA is progressing nicely and has logged major minutes for the Marlies --developing his game at both ends, while filling out nicely at 5'11 211lbs. I think he'd be a natural captain, and as the story points out, the big team is just a cab ride away...So it isn't as if he's headed off to Siberia... TOR can watch him and call him up easily.

Good luck to a great guy, Eric Burgdoerfer, as he reports to Hershey (AHL) camp Monday 9/23/13

I can recall at least three former RPI players (Neil Little, Bruce Coles, and Patrick Rochon) who have worn the Chocolate and White since I moved to Hershey Bears territory 18 years ago.

Hope Burgdoerfer can be a fourth.
