Re: RPI Pros V

Perhaps that's not the best way to break in a cold goaltender. I suspect they'll find a more suitable game.

Yeah, maybe he didn't want to throw Bryce into the fire, or maybe he's of the "make the goalie sweat it out" mentality. Also, looking at the goal breakdown, none of the goals against were particularly close together, and the score was 1-1, 4-1, 4-2, 5-2, 5-3 before jumping to 8-3, so maybe they thought they still had a chance to come back.

Not to mention, it was five goals in the third.

TWCS confirms: Syracuse @ Rochester is tonight at 7PM on at least the CNY flagship (not so sure about Albany though).

Re: RPI Pros V

Allen York vs Rick DiPietro in the AHL tonight. Bridgeport's leading 4-3 heading into the third.

Looks like good news and bad news.

The good - Springfield scored twice in the first five minutes of the third period and hung on to win, 5-4, making a winner out of York and a loser out of DiPietro.

The bad - York was replaced by Paul Dainton at 7:42 of the third period and Dainton finished the game. Since Bridgeport didn't score any goals in the third, that probably indicates York either re-aggravated his previous injury or injured himself a new way.

Darn that DiPietro - that injury bug of his must be catching. :(
