Re: RPI Pros V

did anyone happen to see this wknd's MSG Hockey Night Live? They had a piece on the Bakersfield Condors who had an actual Condor on the ice for the pre-game. The Condor didn't like it & took off on the ice....the bird's trainer caught it but it got away & headed for the Condor bench where former RPI tough guy (I thought :D) Eric Burgdoerfer #2, scrambled to get away.....as did every single Condor player. Pretty funny stuff.....found it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcd3DKWlqUk&feature=player_embedded

Thanks guys for changing my post-but seriously-have any of you ever read the description of the Healey incident in Worcester? Let me summarize in one quick sentence-this could be the single worst wrist injury I have ever heard about-he not only could have lost total function of everything distal to the injury-you could have bled out on the ice(almost like the Clint Malarchuk neck injury that is difficult to watch on video even now). The fact that he was able to come back to play at any level even months later is a miracle of medical treatment.

Re: RPI Pros V

with Cornell on tap this Friday, Doug Hearns has given the puck, that he scored against Dryden in OT, to the boys ... https://twitter.com/SethAppert/status/304242339130523649/photo/1

Now if that is not inspiration-I do not know what is. Everyone needs to open up Kurt's book and see the picture of the winning shot. I was sitting in the section right behind the shot(Jenny was not in my life for about 8 more years). I don't think I ever heard an eruption like that and had tiniitus for days after. One of my top 3 RPI hockey moments. I can close my eyes right now and still see it. Go Red!! Let's keep this ride going!

You and me both, although I am not sure if I am seeing it or the many replays that have gone through my mind over the years. :)

Brandon Pirri is listed as the Black Hawks' #5 prospect in The Hockey News' Future Watch Issue. No others are mentioned in Top Tens for each NHL team.

I haven't received a hard copy yet. This is from reading the online version that comes with my subscription.

Re: RPI Pros V

The Falcons play the Albany Devils tomorrow (3/9) at 5pm, for anyone in the area who's interested in going, since RPI doesn't have a game. (:)) No idea if York'll play, but it will be the second of a back-to-back for the Falcons, so he may get the start.

McElhinney is starting tonight and Paul Dainton is the backup....don't know what that might mean as far as tomorrow... http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1010716

Hmm. The game preview for today (http://falconsahl.com/index.php?id=2457) doesn't mention goalies, but this article (http://www.masslive.com/sports/index.ssf/2013/03/springfield_falcons_welcome_re_2.html) says York "incurred a lower-body injury in practice Wednesday" which is why Dainton was recalled.
