Although the heights and weights are in some cases exaggerated, they are probably more accurate than their previous versions. For example, Bradley and Zalewski got shorter. ..
I thought Doc was only one here who was getting shorter? :D

My take on the golf outing.
Aspydad horrible golfer , thank the lord we had TroyBoy, EngineerHockeyFan, and myself in our foursome.
The weather was beautiful and we needed it as it took about 6 hours to play 18.

We did get to meet every player on the team except GB who is in Cal until Friday.
I was very surprised at the size of Fulton and found out his family also just moved to Beijing due to his father getting transferred for work. Guess he is the VP of Mercedes.
All the freshman were very personable, happy to be here and excited to get onto the ice today. They had there first captains practice at 11am. Though like Aspydad reported no caps have been picked yet and when I asked Seth about it he would not give any information up.
Kasdorf is engaged as well as Bryce who just recently popped the question late last week. I think everyone joked around with the 2 of them asking if they were insane. Kasdorf more so since he is only 20 yrs.
All the returning players looked good and some have been around for most of the summer working locally or on campus.
CJ lost his grandfather about a month ago so my prayers go out to LL and the rest of the family.

Aspydad is a horrible golfer, did I already mention that? :p

A lot of us are looking forward to the tailgating get together. Rumor is it will be in the D parking lot. :D

Hejna and Tinordi (father) I believe were each suckered into paying $1,100 to stand behind the bench for a game of their choice. They each will also get a signed stick and jersey by the team and some other stuff as well for the donation.
Someone else paid, I think, $500 for a signed NY Giants football by Eli Manning. Guess he wasn’t aware he could by the ball for about $20 and go to the UAlbany campus and get it signed for free since they are still in town for training camp.
Someone also paid about $800 for the away trip of their choice for 2 people with the hockey team.
Bill Dolan won the 50/50 and donated it back to the program, over $500.
I again was shut out for the raffle items. :( I think Sachi has it out for me and throws my tickets in the garbage when I walk away instead of in the bucket.

I am not sure what was going on with Shaker Ridge staff but apparently the dinner only included food, as many servings as you wanted, and 1 glass of water!! There was no pitchers of water on the tables and no staff coming around refilling glasses. If you wanted soda, beer, or other beverage of choice you had to pay for it at the bar. This, IMO, was the worse part about the whole day. I have played in a lot of golf tourney’s at various courses none of which have cost $150/per player and not received at least free non-alcoholic beverages. Most if not all of them include draft beer too!!

Its was agreat day @ the outing. Turk181 pretty much covered everything,he actually had a list written out of questions (no joke). Kasdorff is a big dude tall and filled out no fluffed up stats there ! Surprised to hear he was engaged guess the little women wanted to lock him up before he got a load of the Troylettes(LOL). The only other thing to add is Chris Bradley said he chose RPI over Q-piak and Union because he wants to be an engineer and it was in large part an education decesion. It was also a pleasure meeting EHF he is a true gentlemen and a pretty good golfer looking forward to crossing paths during the season. And last but not least Our commissioner Shagwell was in attendence Aspy had a short pow wow w/Him in the clubhouse before the shotgun (when Adad was still sober) and they seemed to have made peace (again no joke) who knows Shagwell this year maybe Shotzie next year in fact Aspy and myself will cover his fee if he would like to attend/standing offer. Thats all I got. I refer any further questions to "The Turk Man" a true investigative reporter !

Today is 15 August 2012. There are 52 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 6 October for the start of next season.

That is the day that an exhibition game is supposedly scheduled.

At least we know the coaches don't take the kids to "the rest of campus". ;)

From the directory:

Name: Riley C. Bourbonnais
Class: First-Year Student
Curriculum: Undeclared Engineering

Good to get a start on admissions for 2013.

Few things put the fear of the almighty into someone more than the business end of a scatter gun.:D Good work.
