Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012: An Off-Season to Be Optimistic

So... does anyone else think Seth cried himself to sleep last night? Given how in one year the team down the road has accomplished 10 times more than what we have in his entire tenure? I do. I almost did. Good for the league and all but it still stings.
Do you think that SA's alma mater is going to contact him for advice on how to beat Union? ;)

Given how well that worked this year, I doubt it. However, if he did, the call would be short and involve five words: "Stay out of the box."

HAI guys! Can I join the party? I have serval family connections to RPI hockey and always cheer for the Engineers but never post in here, frankly because RB and FD are so intimidating :)

Ralph's harmless, and you might even see some "spreading" from him. Me, on the other hand... :p jk

I've got my eye on you after that BHHC thread... :p It is weird being a fan of two teams but my first ever hockey game was at Houston field house and I actually have more RPI gear than Miami

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012: An Off-Season to Be Optimistic

Today is 26 March 2012. There are 194 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 6 October for the start of next season.

That is the day that an exhibition game is supposedly scheduled.

Me, intimidating? At 5'4", I don't think that I have ever intimidated anyone. :D You are certainly welcome here. I had wondered about the RPI part of your handle.

If anything, it was a little more of coming to the defence of the Eli brethren (even if they are Ivy League), as well as the smaller schools of the WCHA-to-be. They've received a good ribbing after quite a few threads, so it's time to return the favour.

You have to pick your fights-maybe look around for someone who is 5'2 or less.;)

Always great to add another voice here-well almost always;). Glad to have you on board.

Dilemma: be a Dutchmen fan until April 5th/7th, or root for Seth Appert's alma mater? :p

Appert's alma mater. After all, there are Denver fans that follow us, and I assume because their former assistant has taken the reins here. Why not? Not to mention the bridges I've burned, dropped an atomic bomb on, and wee'd on the ashes of.

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012: An Off-Season to Be Optimistic

Not a dilemma for me. Go Bulldogs! :D

Unfortunately, I had the (dis?)pleasure of growing up right near the Union College campus... and have extended family members that are U fans and have been since their D-III days. (Ask me what family get-togethers are like from October - March. :p) So I'm not sure what to do about this one...

Best part of it all -- my dad actually went to U, and is now a huge RPI hockey fan like us. :D
