RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

In honor of Chase Polacek and Chase Polacek, today is 10 September 2011. There are 21 days (3 weeks) until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

For the football fans a final-Alfred 48 RPI 17. Alfred was in total control all afternoon and should be an NCAA tournament team this year as they were last year.

How are you liking the world of the future? It must be nice being only 9 days away from the game.

Kind of a rocky start to the Landis era. :(

It was probably to be expected that Alfred would be loaded for bear against RPI after the Engineers upset them last year.

I have been to Lynah more times than I like to admit and Im not impressed......It has bench seats,a wooden roof and a high school scoreboard......Is it loud...sure it is,but so wouldn't my garden shed if you put 3000 people and a pep band in it.As far as the fans you only need to go once because its been the same thing for the last 20 years that I know of !!! As far as community following what else do you propose they do on a Friday and Saturday night in Ithaca go look at the Gorges in the dark !!!!

HFH is a great venue, but so is Lynah. You are wrong about that building and the city of Ithaca. Both are among the best in the east. Troy is no garden spot.
Nice to see the loyalty from posters here, but it is not even close. RIT, Cornell, UVM and UNH all have superior home crowds and environments. Most in the RPI crowd lack originality and spend more time riding officials than supporting the home team.

I love going to RPI hockey games. I have been to most every arena in the East. When you need a win there is no harder place to get one than Lynah.
Now red flag or whatever his name is will say I not really a fan and give a red dot or what ever he does. But I like Red.

Your Right...Lynah doesn't have bench seats,a wooden roof, and a high school scoreboard hanging on the wall....and the fans and the coach never complain about the officiating....what was I thinking ?....Oh ! I got all confused w/the facts

I don't see a need to refute the patently absurd, just wanted to quote it and remark on my amusement. You need to get out more.

Oh... and... sucks. That was just for you.
