RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Two play left wing and two play center (JL plays each), so unless someone moves over to right, I don't think so, although not impossible, as PC has moved from right wing to left (that was interesting, a left-handed right-winger).

I thought that he meant a line with Luke, Mike, and Nick. ;)

In honor of Brock Higgs and Nona Letuligasenoa, today is 8 September 2011. There are 23 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.

Last time I checked, we weren't talking about SU basketball. :D

There's only 3 assured things in Syracuse: Bad roads, a lot of snow, and Jim Boeheim will use a 2-3 zone.

....AND, Fagan's is a great watering hole before or after football and hoop games.

It's not unusual for wingers to play the off wing. Alex Ovechkin anyone? It also sets up one timers better.

I don't get it....

I think and dont quote me on this, that he was trying to say that the person is a fan of UConn or Villanova...two of SU bitter rivals in the Big Least.

Interesting interview with current ECAC refs Mike Baker and Peter Feola discussing rules of the college game, personal experiences, etc...

http://www.examiner.com/hockey-in-national/college-stripes-making-the-right-calls

Quote from Peter Feola, "Most people don’t know the rules of the game ...". Finally, we get into the thinking of the ECAC refs. We don't know anything, we're just dumb fans. I think this arrogant line of thought comes from Paul Stewart. What a softball interview. I would have hoped that Stewie would have resigned after the season the refs had last year but again there is no confidence in the league office or the refs. If I had conducted the interview I would have gone into the bias that exists against our great Coach and RPI. Why they don't call embellishment on the Aquatic Team from Ithaca and use to call it on JDA all the time, etc., etc. etc.

Quote from Mike Baker, "My favorite rink to work is Lynah Arena in Cornell." Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case.

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Did he happen to mention his least favorite rink. :p
It may just be me, but I'm interpreting that what he says is based upon rink atmosphere. Yes, the little north koreans are robotic at Lynah Natatorium, but you have to tip your hat to their passion, regardless of your perception of its justification.
