RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Im pretty sure Tri-City used last seasons measurements in that article. The RPI release that came out last week has him at 6'1" 160lbs.
Still skinny. Needs some good dorm food to get the weight up.

He's not a net crashing forward, nor is he a forward crashing d-man, he's a goalie. Thanks to the enormously exaggerated size of goalie equipment, weight is completely irrelevant. If you've ever seen Ryan Miller or Mike Richter in street clothes ( I have), you'd be shocked at how slight of build they are. If memory serves, Miller was lucky if he hit a 175 while he was at MSU.

This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.

Hey WaP, I realize that it's summer so there isn't too much to talk about, but will the podcasts be continuing in the upcoming year?

some idle thoughts on the ECAC Team of the decade? Simply start with Chase and work way down :D. Looking at past Teams of Decade, they went with 1st & 2nd team...3 forwards, 2 d-men & 1 goalie. 2010-11 season counts as part of the decade in following the ECAC's previous Teams.

the Aug. schedule is out for the Knick in Troy....RPI is not scheduled for any ice time. Hope to find out if Capt.'s Practice will be open to the public.

actually, looking at it again, the 90's decade team was the 1st to name 2 teams.

Interesting article, I didnt realize just how close RPI was to becoming a member of HEA back in the early 90's. I wonder where the hockey program would be today if they were playing in HEA for the past 15 years.

Not that close. Pipes was against it from the start and many on the faculty would have made a stink if the school tried to ditch the Ivy connection back then. It is probably more likely, though not very, in the current environment.

I had an interesting discussion with someone from one of the four AHA programs that met with the CCHA last week and he believes that Hockey East would be able to entice RPI to switch conferences if Notre Dame came east. Most believe that ND will end up in the new league out west, however.

......I'll give it a shot; 1st team forwards= Chase Polacek, Lee Stempniak, T.J.Trevelyan....Defense=Douglas Murray, Noah Welch.....Goalie=Yann Danis 2nd team forwards= Dominic Moore,Tyler Burton, Sean Backman....Defense=Drew Bagnall, Reid Cashman.....Goalie=David McKee

http://archives.buffalorising.com/story/a_huge_bid...My work brings me to Buffalo twice a month on one occassion I attended a charity event w/my boss he won Ryan Millers goalie mask (for $50,000) and we went out for drinks after words w/Miller he is one of the skinniest people I've ever seen I attached the link in the beginning because it is a hard story to believe that someone would pay that much for a goalie mask but the Billy Fuccillo you see on TV is the Billy Fuccillo you get....its not an act !

When I did promotional stuff at a radio station a few years ago, the Fuccillo car lot events were interesting to say the least....5 different stations from different companies under a tent and Billy roaming the lot.....best thing ever was seeing Billy how should I put it "correct" a sales guy in front of the rest of them good thing the sales guy was wearing dark pants that day :) ....gotta respect a man who worked hard to build what he has. If Diebold is the same as Miller on the ice I wouldnt worry about how big or small he is and this is coming from a Devils fan.
