RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Hi all -
I just wanted to offer a professional game worn jersey of Engineer stand-out Marc Cavosie who averaged almost a point per game during his time at RPI. The jersey is from Marc's 2007-08 season with the Reading Royals of the ECHL. The jersey is $225 shipped (within the US). If you are interested feel free to PM or email me at info@johnsonsjerseys.net and of course, trades for college game worn jerseys are always considered!
:D

2013 recruit Jake Wood participated in the EJHL Summer Showcase for the N.A. Screaming Eagles this past weekend finishing second on the team in scoring with a line of 4-1-3-4.

Nolan Graham and Bryan Vines were both in attendance scouting the EJHL Summer Showcase, hopefully they saw some good things and we can get another recruit or two commited.

Great to hear it. Also in attendance were RPI alums Jim Henkel (Conn. College), Kurt Colling (Castleton State) and Doug Shepherd, an eastern scout for Vancouver/Man. Moose. Great to see so many RPI players in the coaching ranks !

I didn't realize that Shepherd was scouting.

You can add Buddy Powers (BU) as someone with an RPI connection.

With the exception of Vines.....they all have one coach in common:)

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

RPI=Engineers
DU=Pioneers
Red Hawks? :eek:

RPI went through a brief period a few years ago where they changed the name of all sports teams but hockey and football to the Red Hawks, in an effort to have a mascot for all sports (Puckman doesn't really carry over, and we've never had an actual "Engineer". However, hockey has always been the Engineers, and the Red Hawks were scrapped in '09...someone didn't do their research properly.

It may have been officially scrapped, but if you google "RPI Hockey" the first result contains mention of the dreaded ruby vulture. Seems to me that some ambitious intern in the athletic dept. could fix this....but I defer to the egg heads here.

...not sure there was any done at all...

At this point, it almost certainly is simply a matter of googling RPI Hockey and then failing to click the link, being satisfied with just the description.

Isn't it fun when lazy people are exposed?

Only if it isn't you. ;)
