And then Detroit traded him for a washed up Bernie Federko. Imagine if he stayed in Detroit to grow up with Yzerman. My goodness.

The trade was not such a bad thing for Oates. He got to help Hull launch a hall of fame career, and hopefully earn election to the hall for himself. I expect to see him there before too many more years pass.

I think a couple lights have gone out in the heads of the CCT students. ;)

Given them chanting like we're their safety school while in LP, I think this is a more accurate statement.

I'm a freshman at RPI while my twin sister is at Clarkson. I was with Pep Band at LP and agree with the above.

My sister doesn't like it but I've made it clear I like all of Clarkson except hockey and pep band. :)

In case anyone was still excited about the non-goal call in the 2nd period of the USA game, video is up here:
http://www.rpitv.org/productions/352-mens-hockey-vs-usa-world-junior-team

The incident question is at about 13:40 in to the video of the 2nd period.

Is anyone else having difficulty watching this? I'm not getting a smooth picture, it's refreshing every second or so as if I was looking at my computer via a remote desktop. I haven't had any issues with any of the 4:3 ratio games (pretty much anything else this year). Obviously I'll kick off an e-mail about this, but wanted to make sure I'm not just drunk or something.

Funny that you should say that. I watched it in the morning at work, and it was fine. I just wanted to look at part of it again about 15 minutes ago, and I had that problem. I blamed I on my computer/internet service, but maybe it isn 't the problem if you are having it also..

they've never worked for me since the website upgraded... they crash my internet browser 8/10 times and really slow when they actually work

I am looking at it right now, and it is a very, very strange issue it seems. At 3 minutes until the hour, all traffic stops (no log entries), then at 8 minutes past it starts working again. I am heading home (3.5 hour drive), but I will look at it some more when I get there. It might be an RPI Network related issue.

Dear Santa,
I never thought I would ask for this, but I really want a trip to New Jersey the third weekend in March. I have been a pretty good boy this year.

Happy Holidays to all and to all a good fight.

With white and gold tinsel? :p

Only if you celebrate Christmas and not Hanukkah. ;)

We actually didn't really know about the rivalry much before heading off to school.

I'm visiting her the same weekend that RPI visits Clarkson for hockey, and she's promised her floor will be my bodyguards, so I'm going to be sitting in the student section of Cheel wearing red and cheering for the Engineers.

You better have some RPI people with you, I don't trust the sound of that.

I would not go to Cheel without a bodyguard, large stick, and a couple thou in cash.

I should have released that you were probably Jewish when I checked the online RPI directory to find out if you were female like your sister, since your handle disguises your name only slightly more than mine does. Good luck sitting in the Clarkson student section wearing red. Hopefully of course, RPI will win, although historically the North Country weekend has produced very poor results.

I remember one year up at Cheel the CCT pep band came over and tried to start a fight with the RPI band. Im with the Dude on this, I wouldnt recommend sitting in the student section wearing red, your just asking for trouble. I also wouldnt expect much help from the mall cops if there is a problem either.

I restarted the video server, and it seems to have fixed the problem for the most part. Let me know if it works better for you. If anybody ever has any problems, send me a private message, and I will do everything I can to fix it. If you are having a problem with something, it probably means other people are as well.

I might suggest you bring a can of pepper spray with you. Have you had your rabies shots?;)

Happy Holidays! I hope Santa gifts include a trip to Atlantic City for the RPI hockey team.
