Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part IV: Not A Finished Product Yet

I'm assuming you mean regular season? We're 1-4 in the playoffs against them since we were frosh.

Yes, regular season. It doesn't make much sense to consider playoffs 8 seasons ago while Fridgen was still coach, but I forgot to include the 2010 playoffs where we dropped a turd on the ice and called it a home playoff series.

Dropped a Brown.

Getting a bye is crucial-since you can get beat in any series by anybody home or away. Any round you can avoid playing is one less of a chance to get knocked out. Paint me a very happy fellow if we can hold onto 4th place or better. (of course i would love even higher)

I'm totally on board with that sentiment! :)

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part IV: Not A Finished Product Yet

I remember standing at the rail behind the bench and yelling down "Play your game",.... Maybe that's what is helping our focus (which we lacked last year).

Right, I'm sure we can all thank you personally for your vital contribution.

maybe SA will be on Rodger Wylands show this morning (11am...on 980) with some good news concerning MT....or maybe an update on O'Grady?

Paul Stewart still ducking my offer to debate him on Rodg's show.

Dash. Underscore. Dash. Once again a COMPLETE misunderstanding of the meaning behind what I type. Screw you guys, I'm going home.

Also it is one fewer week to get players injured (not that we haven't had injuries during practice).

All of that. We will have our hands full for the next 3 weeks. A week off can be an incredible boost. We do have some advantages-we get 4 of the 6 games left at HFH and we are coming off one of our best streaks in many years. We don't often win 6 ECAC league games in a row. Go Red!

or Sir AspyDad??

and after an exciting game during which you screamed yourself hoarse, RaspyDad?? ;)

I just call him the mayor. Sit in section 9 for a game and you will see what I mean. Dude is in full on running for office mode at all times. :)

Off topic-but then again sometimes we need a little diversion-just noticed a Quinnipiac recruit for 2014/2015 with a name that is going to make for lots of conversation-Bo Pieper:eek:

Ohhh he will be so much fun to taunt for four years. Thanks for the laugh, Doc.

RB, surprised you didn't notice but the Dean of the ECAC Hockey writers, Ed Weaver, spelled Don Boyd's name...Dan Boyd. Donnie was a great Engineer. Believe he was in the line up for the first Engineer game I ever went to.

Boyd was a an excellent player for the Tute. I think of him as Bailen with a little better game in his own zone.

Except it's not pronounced the way you think it's pronounced.
