I hope that we are done talking and ready to play. The coach and the players always say the right things, now lets go out and play inspired hockey.
Still no word from DrD. I know that the area where he lives is still without electricity and clean up is continuing. I only hope that he is only suffering material damage.
Come back soon Doc.

Agreed all the way around EHF. I'm worried about Doc, but like you am hoping the silence is due to no power/cell service. Hope to hear soon that he and the Mrs. are ok.

"FRIDAY’S OFFICIALS: The referees
on Friday are Bryan Hicks and Robert
St. Lawrence ... The linesemen are Leo
Boylan and David Brown."

Lovely.

Anyone wanna bet what the score among the three teams (RPI, Union, Referees) is going to be this evening?

I just hope that the team and the coach leave the complaining to and about the referees to us. They don't need the distraction.
Play our game and leave the refs to us.

Prayers and best wishes from AspyDad and tb for our friends Jenny and Doc. I'm sure we'll be sneaking a drink at the Princeton game with them.

RPI lines, McGowan back, Burgdoerfer in, Diebold to start. Rogic and Commers out from last game almost two weeks ago.

Good to see we're trying Higgs/Tinordi, and also that L-M-S (pun intended) is once again reunited, as they do pretty well together. LMS is Learning Management System; RPI had it for a while in a few classes for online exams, not sure if they still do...

Interesting article.....especially reading multiple times SA taking responsibility for the team's lack of maturity. Isn't that a parental responsibility?

Besides, we have heard over and over a tough schedule is to prepare for league play which should help making big plays in big moments. At least they won the third period 1-0!

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part 1: Pocket Protectors and Hockey Sticks

Anyone care to explain why our senior captain after a penalty called on Union would find it smart to whack a guy with his stick not once but twice....stupid if I may say so.

Doesn't matter if you play like **** the first two periods. We couldn't connect a pass to save our lives.

Could be a part of the reason SA mentions not being mature. But I agree you would not expect this from a Senior Captain. If SA has the balls he should bench him tonight to send the message that no one is "above his laws" on how he wants them to handle themselves and play as a team.

I remember him doing that with Ornelas when he had the A; didn't seem injured to me.

Strictly frustration, s team was wound to tight going in. And when Union got the early goal, they started running around not knowing what to do.
I do believe that we have to name assistant captains. We were without a leader in the game for 12 minutes. That can't happen. Too many mistakes last night from everyone.

Higgs stood in as assistant getting the rundown on penalties from the ref when CJ was in the box for his misconduct.

I thought we started out well and were doing a better job this year focusing on our game, not who was on the ice against us (something babo mentioned before the game we needed to do) even when we were down 2-0. We kind of fell apart after Union scored on that breakaway, and even though discipline came back a bit in the third, it wasn't quite enough. We had an awful lot of chances we just couldn't capitalize on-you don't get enough of those against Union to afford not to score. Then there were the times we were controlling play in their zone for a long stretch, and no matter what we tried couldn't buy a goal. If that made me frustrated sitting in the stands, I can only imagine how it affected the team on the ice. Hopefully we leave that frustration behind and start fresh tonight.

BTW, Black Friday jersey picture from Without a Peer in case anyone didn't see it yet: https://twitter.com/without_a_peer/status/264494070490099713
