With classes cancelled today due to Sandy perhaps our great coach will extend practice so we can learn to play and keep a 2 goal lead in the 3rd period.

RPI has cancelled school due to Sandy. That surprises me.

Like you-I am very surprised. Back in the 60's I think I can remember only 1 day ever cancelled and it was because we got something like 2 feet of snow and the temperature fell to 15 or more below zero.

My senior year, they cancelled for some ice event that we would have never cancelled for in the North Country. There was a snow storm my freshman year, but only a 2-hour delay.

The only time that I can recall classes being cancelled was when there was a big snowfall at the end of a break and people couldn't get back to Troy.

Yes and UAlbany has as well. I think tonight and tomorrow are supposed to be the bad times for us here in the Capital District so I was surprised to hear they cancelled as well. Perhaps they are worried the buildings cannot withstand the winds since it has not started raining here yet.

Perhaps Folsom Library will slide down the hill (EMPAC can come too)?

Ken Schott contemplates on the fate of Boardwalk Hall due to Sandy: http://www.dailygazette.com/weblogs...ane-sandy-could-affect-marchs-ecac-hockey-ch/

After reading this and watching the weather channel for the better part of a day and a half, I am more concerned for DrD. I hope he was able to come through this storm with minimal damage.
Also, we will keep everyone in the path of this storm in our thoughts and prayers.

I hear Albany gets it this march
