Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part 1: Pocket Protectors and Hockey Sticks

Would love to be at the tailgate. Was in Troy last weekend for reunion (45 years). Nice to see line combinations brought forward not juggled from last year and Diebold in net. Looking for Kasdorf to be the Leonard of 2012. Predict 22 wins. Go RED. I will listen tonight from Boston.

Very simply-nice win-nice way to start the season. Although still lots of things to work on-Diebold is a rock, and we do move the puck so much better than last year. Oh-and we are beginning to find a way to get guys in front of the net or atleast within a few yards. Beating a ranked team (? #11 in some polls) feels really nice. Now let's come back tomorrow and keep the pressure on early.

Concur. One of the reasons we move the puck better is because we can transition more aggressively because we don't have to think defense first with #34 between the pipes. Makes the breakout better. I agree with RPI67 that it was nice to get flow with lines. Haggs was dominate tonight. He was a beast. Hope Neal is OK.

I thought he was between our pipes. ;)

It was so good to see you again. Always love talking to you. When WS called you the Chairman today he was so right. Hope you enjoyed watching your beloved Engineers win tonight. All my best :)

Please have your guys review the definition of icing. If you have any questions, please see me in Section 9 at the Houston Field House. In advance, thank you for your attention to this matter.

Was anything said about Neal's injury?

From where I sit, I can look up the tunnel. Neal was standing in the tunnel with the trainer(I assumed that's who it was). They were there for a few minutes, it looked as if the trainer was doing something to Neals left shoulder. Then they both walked up the tunnel.

Good to see you Aspy too, and everybody else. Of course, the only one whom I recognized was babo, and that is typical of me.

Thanks for the Neal updates.

Edit: I recognized frjoe too.

Big thanks to babo and everyone else that helped put together the tailgate tonight. Was a great time and word is, this wont be the last one this year. :) Good performance by the team tonight, hope they can keep the pressure up tomorrow night. This could be the start of something good.

According to Ken Schott, Appert reports that Neal is OK and will hopefully be good to go tomorrow. Looks like a hip injury.
Matt appeared OK after the game. Unless there's some discomfort from now till tomorrow he should be good.

BTW, women let up 3 goals in the first and fell short in their rally, losing 3-2 to BU at the Walter Brown.

Congrats to the men. They looked good in the first two periods. Still need to cut down on the odd-men breaks against, though.
