Re: RPI 2011-12 Season: Posts on a Message Board
I laughed.
Rise on baby...... Next stop, another tie converted to a win

What are you insinuating? For any newcomers that are unfamiliar with the proceedings as we've done for a while, we discuss the game in-game on the Score Thread. For this game, it's available here:
http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?96958-Acadia-RPI-10-1-11
Check back to that particular forum during game time, as we have a lot of fun there, especially when Red Cloud or I start the thread.![]()

Dr. D usually posts the football scores, but since he doesn't seem to have done so yet...
RPI came back from an 11-point deficit this afternoon to outscore Rochester, 15-0, in the fourth quarter and won, 28-24, at the ECAV.
(Edit - I see now that Dr. D actually posted the football score on the hockey score updates thread.)
Ever wonder "Hmm... I wonder who performed the best in "crunch time" (February / March / April) against teams that did really well in their conference (Top 4 finish) over the past five seasons in non-friendly environments (Neutral / Away only) and disregard all games against AHA / independent teams"?

Not that anyone else really cares, and it's not exactly RPI-specific, but here's the link to the spreadsheet that I said I was in the process of.Code:Boston College 23- 7-1 0.758 RIT 2- 1-0 0.667 Notre Dame 8- 6-0 0.571 North Dakota 13-11-1 0.540 Michigan 13-11-2 0.538 Minnesota Duluth 11-10-1 0.523 Northern Michigan 9- 9-4 0.500 Boston University 7- 7-1 0.500 Wisconsin 7- 7-0 0.500 Miami 6- 6-0 0.500 Bemidji State 5- 6-0 0.455 Michigan State 4- 5-1 0.450 UMass Lowell 9-12-2 0.435 Colorado College 4- 6-3 0.423 St. Cloud State 8-12-3 0.413 Cornell 7-10-0 0.412 Yale 7-10-0 0.412 St. Lawrence 6-10-1 0.382 Vermont 7-13-2 0.364 Denver 6-11-1 0.361 Colgate 5-10-2 0.353 Ohio State 4- 8-1 0.346 New Hampshire 7-14-1 0.341 Quinnipiac 6-15-2 0.304 Minnesota 5-13-2 0.300 Massachusetts 6-15-0 0.286 Ferris State 4-12-1 0.265 Maine 7-20-0 0.259 Northeastern 5-18-3 0.250 Harvard 4-14-1 0.237 Clarkson 2- 9-2 0.231 Nebraska-Omaha 4-15-1 0.225 Merrimack 3-11-0 0.214 Michigan Tech 4-15-0 0.211 Western Michigan 3-14-2 0.211 Rensselaer 1- 7-2 0.200 Air Force 1- 4-0 0.200 Princeton 2-10-1 0.192 Minnesota State 2-13-2 0.176 Lake Superior 3-15-0 0.167 Brown 2-11-0 0.154 Bowling Green 1- 8-1 0.150 Alaska Anchorage 2-15-1 0.139 Providence 1-14-2 0.118 Union 1-10-0 0.091 Dartmouth 0- 8-1 0.056 Alaska 0- 8-0 0.000 Alabama-Huntsville 0- 2-0 0.000 Mercyhurst 0- 1-0 0.000 Niagara 0- 1-0 0.000 Robert Morris 0- 1-0 0.000 American International 0- 0-0 0.000 Army 0- 0-0 0.000 Bentley 0- 0-0 0.000 Canisius 0- 0-0 0.000 Connecticut 0- 0-0 0.000 Holy Cross 0- 0-0 0.000 Sacred Heart 0- 0-0 0.000 Wayne State 0- 0-0 0.000
Spreadsheet with scores from past seven seasons of D-I hockey
I should note that I took out games against top CHA teams as well. Miami was 9-6-0 before that.Burgie-that is just flat out informative. Not that .200 is very good for us but surprised to see Union at .091-the sample size is just too small to rate RIT but the others at the top of the list are the usual suspects and of course all belong up there. Thanks for posting.

I can't see any benefit to the Ivies in forming their own conference.
They've won the ECAC autobid 9 out of the last 10 years, though. There's one huge one: an autobid.
Why didn't you use Don Cutts? In honor of Seth Appert, John Burke, and their assistants, today is 1 October 2011. There are 0 days until RPI's next game.
This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.
