Re: RPI 2011-12 Season: Posts on a Message Board

For any newcomers that are unfamiliar with the proceedings as we've done for a while, we discuss the game in-game on the Score Thread. For this game, it's available here:

http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?96958-Acadia-RPI-10-1-11

Check back to that particular forum during game time, as we have a lot of fun there, especially when Red Cloud or I start the thread. :D
What are you insinuating? :D

Dr. D usually posts the football scores, but since he doesn't seem to have done so yet...

RPI came back from an 11-point deficit this afternoon to outscore Rochester, 15-0, in the fourth quarter and won, 28-24, at the ECAV.

(Edit - I see now that Dr. D actually posted the football score on the hockey score updates thread.)

Thanks for subbing for me-I did post the score but i did it during the game on the scores thread. I was far too blotto to even find this thread when we got home. As it was Jenny had to do some of the typing for the early part of the second period when we got home. It really is easier to sober up though when your team is busy scoring 7 goals.:D

Ever wonder "Hmm... I wonder who performed the best in "crunch time" (February / March / April) against teams that did really well in their conference (Top 4 finish) over the past five seasons in non-friendly environments (Neutral / Away only) and disregard all games against AHA / independent teams"?

Burgie-that is just flat out informative. Not that .200 is very good for us but surprised to see Union at .091-the sample size is just too small to rate RIT but the others at the top of the list are the usual suspects and of course all belong up there. Thanks for posting.

Re: RPI 2011-12 Season: Posts on a Message Board

I can't see any benefit to the Ivies in forming their own conference.

I should note that I took out games against top CHA teams as well. Miami was 9-6-0 before that.

If you include all Away/Neutral "clutch" Top-4 games, RIT's record drops from 2-1-0 to 4-5-1. That may be more telling about their ability (and also just how special that run in 09-10 was).

Excellent game.

One note for babo (I believe that was you?) - we don't throw pucks that go in the stands back on the ice, we Give it to the Kid! (see First Church Commandment #8) ;)

Re: RPI 2011-12 Season: Posts on a Message Board

Why didn't you use Don Cutts?

Is he still on the team? :)

I think for two years, quite a few years ago now, I also mentioned the name of whomever I regarded as the most prominent alum to wear each number but i stopped doing that. Cutts clearly was the best player ever to wear zero. Of course, he was the only one.
