Re: RPI 2010 Recruiting III: Monty's Quest for the Holy Grail

On Saturday, the Penticton Vees lost to the Vernon Vipers 4-1. Luke Curadi had no points or penalties. Penticton has lost the best-of-seven playoff series 4-2 ending their season. http://www.bchl.ca/leagues/hockey_boxScores.cfm?clientID=1413&leagueID=2393&gameID=808967

Curadi's line is now 16-0-1-1-22.
His total is 74-7-11-18-120.

BOOOO! I hope the next two times we are talking about the B.R.O. is when he a) is drafted, and b) appears on the RPI student locator.

I hope the ecac refs watched the games in Albany. The officiating was great and consistent.

With thanks to RC for pointing this out on the off-season thread...the announcement for the Hockey Banquet seems to suggest that Zarbo is leaving after he graduates in May...this might very well bode well for the B.R.O making it to Troy this fall.

"...The Rensselaer men’s hockey banquet is scheduled for Friday, April 23, at the Heffner Alumni House. All fans and friends of the program are invited to attend. The evening begins with a cocktail reception from 5:30-6:15pm with dinner and the awards ceremony to follow. It will be a very special evening as the five members of the Class of 2010 and defenseman Mark Zarbo will also be recognized."

What are the chances Quinn still comes next year? With the off-ice distractions of his father getting let go in Aurora, being sent to Orangeville then missing all those games at the end of the season, Im wondering if we could see Koudys come in a year early and try to get Quinn a full season of playing time in juniors next year.

I don't like that possibility but what you posted unfortunately makes a tremendous amount of sense. Offensively we should be fine next year-defense for me is the real question (and was this year also for me). :(

We haven't heard anything official, so it's still possible.

Excellent question -- the silence leads me to wonder as well -- given the lack of public info about Quinn down the stretch, only the student locator will tell us who is coming this fall.

Re: RPI 2010 Recruiting III: Monty's Quest for the Holy Grail

I stumbled onto a blog on NHL.com: Prospecting with Central Scouting...it just so happens that it mentions Luke Curadi listed among the top ten players in all of Canadian Juniors (that is, ALL players, not just defencemen.) :D  :D His name appears about half way down the page.

That's top 10 in the so-called Tier II leagues. Still a good accomplishment.

On Tuesday, the Cornwall Colts defeated the Pembroke Lumber Kings 5-3. Jacob Laliberté scored a goal and added two assists. Guy Leboeuf scored a PPG and had tripping and interference penalties. The best-of-seven playoff series is tied 2-2. http://cjhlsite.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1245274

Laliberté's line is now 10-3-6-9-2.
His total is 60-65-54-119-36.
Leboeuf's line is now 10-1-5-6-12
His total is 72-11-24-35-76

A 60% rate. Getting better. :) Cornwall still must find a way to win a game in Pembroke.
