OK, enough. WS doesn't like it when we point out how lame the South Side is, I don't like it when WS gets all verklempt over it. Can we move on now?

Whatever Bevis.

Heh-heh, heh-heh.
Uh-huh-huh, huh-huh-huh huh.

On the other topic, I'm glad to see they're offering birthday parties, but my gosh, those kids can sometimes be so annoying! Burgie12 knows what I'm talking about. But, I wouldn't change it, as they're there to support our team.

I'm sure Ralph posted this, but for those who may have missed it, Steven Beyers did a June interview on the Toronto area "A Foot in the Crease" podcast. He described his game as "fast, skilled, good hands..." mentions his list is narrowed to Wisconsin, Michigan and RPI...which we've heard before. The interview is in the last 1/4 of the podcast.

And the new Marketing & Promo director is off to a start for hockey, offering birthday party reservations for hockey games: http://rpiathletics.com/sports/2010/7/30/MHOCK_0730103548.aspx?path=hockey

Wonder what the age limit is going to be? :D

Great question...I can already see Doc holding his next b-day party there with Grey Goose as the corporate sponsor and Babo as the Mistress of Cermonies.:D

As always, you are correct. :p The other place only mentioned RPI and Wisconsin, not Michigan.

I sure won't miss him...I was sitting in the corner at HFH with Babo and the Hubster when LL buried the GTG against us ..I'm still smarting over that one.
I concur.

If there was no age limit, I somehow envision the entire membership of this thread booking the rink, bringing in a keg with clothes on, playing an "A-Team" video (with sound effects) on the jumbo-tron, strippers performing with the hired RPI band (FD08 at percussion with his mane flying), Doc, Jenny and me happily contemplating cutting our proverbial ears off (;)...), and RB, RC, WS, and all the other regulars doing carrier landings (Zamboni impersonations) on the ice...side activities would be pin the tail on H.D.!:D

The question in my mind is whether his first college allegience is to SA and RPI or to Maine.

I believe that coaches are like any other employees in any other industry; they network, are hired/fired/leave for greener pastures according to their individual experiences. When a coach moves on, he will stay in touch and connected with those with whom he wishes. He will use his political and personal connections for the betterment of his career (and I do NOT mean that as a negative). So, will Monty work to find players more for Seth or for Maine? I think his job is to find colleges for his players without a commitment. He actually does not have the ability to influence college coaches (or players and their parents for that matter) now that he is representing Dubuque. I think he will be an equal opportunity advocate for the players on his squad.

That makes sense, but he can talk up his players more to some college coaches than others.

Sign me up for that one. I have an October birthday...Maybe we can get Puckman to do a keg stand or two.

It's true about how annoying the kids can be sometimes, but think of all the fun that's been had over the years teaching them how to treat the refs.

I seem to remember that at some point a ref has even commented on your ability to influence the children.

Today is 2 August 2010. There are 67 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 8 October for the start of next season.
