Rec'd the golf outing invite in the mail today. Seth's letter mentions that " the Houston Field House renovation is within months of completion." This is a good thing. :D

Just remember that 37 years could be described as 444 months. ;)

We are more often beaten by teams that are not that great but make the changes during the game to outplay us. Marsh is the only guy I've ever seen that can do what he does with SLU. I've yet to see other coaches be able to adjust game plans and styles mid-game the way he can. Asking Appert (or other coaches) to do what Marsh does is likely asking a lot of those coaches because there's not a lot of coaches as smart as Joe Marsh.

I happened to be in the neighborhood this afternoon and swung by HFH -- no signs of any construction or that they are getting ready to start.

I agree - Marsh is a heckuva coach and motivator. His kids go to war for him.

Likely won't see anything happening up at HFH until after graduation is over. They're not going to want contractors staging in the lots up there until after they're done with their tents and everything else this coming weekend.

I used Joe Marsh as an example because I was always impressed by how he adapts his team to how things are going. I don't expect that every coach can do that, but he is a good one to try to copy. I just want to see us have plan B and plan C to institute in a game when the opposition shuts down plan A.:)

Seriously? The only criterion is national championships? So, RIT deserves no credit for making the Frozen Four, Wisconsin deserves no credit for making the National Championship game, having the Hobey Baker winner, and hosting a successful outdoor game that brought in over 50k fans? No school in the entire nation deserves credit for this past season except for BC, guys. Seriously. Because troyboy said so.

This is based upon 2 October for the start of next season.

I have faith in Al Shively to give the French pronunciation. Of course, he has to get here first, and who knows if he'll be ready in 11-12. But I digress.

I'm assuming they're not doing all of the field house renovations over this summer, what do they plan to do? Is it on the RPI website?
